2. Synthesis of Design
• The philosophy, functionality, and uniqueness
of the product are all determined during
synthesis.
• During synthesis, a design takes the form of
sketches and layout drawings that show the
relationship among the various product parts.
• Most of the information generated and
handled in the synthesis sub process is
qualitative and consequently it is hard to
capture in a computer system.
