2. Why you choose the degree
Actually, I knew little about the commerce before but I choose to study
business by myself. First, my father is a business man and I become
interested in business. Second, we only have two choices if we want
to study in ISC which are business and science, however, science is
too difficult so I think commerce is more suitable for me.
3. YEAR 1-Engage the principles of Business
In first year, we will learn about the foundations of business, how businesses
work and their relationship with society. You will be challenged to read, think,
debate and work in teams. First year modules unique to the UCD BComm
include running a virtual business in ‘Business Live’ and taking control of our
progress in ‘Effective Learning and Development’.

In second year we will deepen your understanding of the business
environment and its functions, ranging from Global Business, to
People at Work, to Data Analytics and begin to choose business
options to personalise our UCD BComm pathway. We have the
opportunity to study abroad with our Exchange Programme, and to
apply for an Internship with one of our national or international
business partners.

Programme
Between the penultimate and final
year of the programme you will
have the opportunity to apply for a

Exchange Opportunity
In second year you will have the

second semester at one of our
international partner universities.
