Extra curricular
I am currently dancing at Mrs Conn’s Dance Academy studying 7 styles of dance, I would
say I have achieved a lot through my dancing such as getting through to the 4th round of the
TV shows ‘Got To Dance’ and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, successfully getting a place in the English
National Ballets performance of Sleeping Beauty in the Opera House, placing as overall
winner in the North Down Dance Competition and I have had the opportunity to dance in
places such as the Waterfront, Odyssey, London’s Pineapple Dance Studios, the Covent
Garden Royal Academy and Eurodisney.
I am a keen member of my church, I take the Sunday School lessons, take part in the singing
company twice a week and I lead the dance worship group. I also take piano lessons and I
participate in the school musical every year as well as doing the choreography for many of
the songs.
Skills
Through dancing I have developed skills such as team working, listening and
communicating, I have also been choreographing from a young age and therefore I would
say that I have learnt how to deal with people and my leadership skills developed as a
consequence. Gradually over the years my organisational skills have developed as it is a
necessity when I am doing exams.
Qualities
I would consider myself to be a determined and motivated person as I always want to
complete each task I am given to the best possible standard, I am hard working and I love
working with people as I am very sociable and find it easy to take to people that I do not
know. I am very optimistic in all aspects of life and I like to make the most of bad situations.
