Understanding Social Media Bullying: Legal Implications and Challenges
iPromise Press Release
1. iPromise: No Text and Drive Scholarship Campaign
Over the past several years, Luhrsen Law Group has worked to spread the word within our community as
to the dangers of underage drinking; along with that, the firm has also sought to provide strategies and
information that will empower families to protect their teens. As technology has advanced, distracted
driving, especially texting while driving, now ranks as one of the top causes of teen car crashes. According
to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, of teen crashes involving a fatality, 21%
were due to the driver being distracted by the use of cell phones.
Luhrsen Law Group recently extended its Serving to
Protect efforts by embarking on a campaign to reduce
distracted driving among teens. For attorney Jeffrey
Luhrsen it’s about prevention: “My firm would much
rather educate the public, then represent someone hurt in
a crash that was 100% preventable!” With this in mind,
Luhrsen Law Group recently created the iPromise
(#LLGiPromise) campaign. Designed to reduce the risk of
distracted driving, especially among teens (our most
inexperienced drivers), the iPromise campaign works to
get parents and their teenage drivers to mutually pledge
not to text and drive. By taking the iPromise pledge
available through the firm’s website, each teen becomes
eligible to win one of five $1000 scholarship drawings.
