1. If you were an educator, would you accept research a student had gotten from a wiki
as a viable a source?
ANSWER: Maybe I won’t. Even though Wikipedia has provided us a lot of accurate
information, I still won’t trust some information from it. We all know that information from
Wikipedia can be edited by anyone. For me, it is not a good practice to use and rely on
Wikipedia especially on doing research because not all information from that website is
reliable and accurate.
2. As a student, would you rely on a wiki for information for an assignment?
ANSWER: As a student, I’d say no. I know that wiki provides a lot of helpful information in
the web, but the fact that anyone has the authority to edit to a certain information makes it
unreliable for me. Besides, there are a lot of websites that provides more accurate information
aside from Wikipedia. In addition, when doing research I don’t usually settle for one website,
I read from different sources and compare them in order to find the best answer to a certain
question.
3. Can you see wiki’s developing into a more prominent internet tool?
ANSWER: Yes I would, despite the fact that Wikipedia is not reliable enough; no one can
deny its growing popularity. Yes we can say that not all information on Wikipedia is
legitimate, but Wikipedia existed for how many years providing information to everyone. In
addition, Wikipedia has thousands of different information that some websites don’t have.
Wikipedia can somehow sustain their popularity by continuing on providing accurate
information and good maintenance on their website.
