Sally had spent the last two hours at her favorite music store,
Power Records. Her father’s 40th birthday was coming and he
wanted to buy him some music CDs.
“Excuse me, do you have the latest album by Garth Brooks?” Sally
asked the salesgirl.
“Yes, we do. It’s on the shelf labelled Country Western and
you will find it under the letter B for Brooks,” came the salesgirl’s
reply.
“Thanks! You’ve been very helpful,” replied Sally as she
walked towards that shelf.

Jason had spent the last two hours at his favorite music
store, Shenzhen Records. His father’s 40th birthday was
coming and he wanted to buy him some music CDs.
“Excuse me, do you have the latest album by TF Boys?” Jason
asked the salesgirl.
“Yes, we do. It’s on the shelf labelled Chinese pop and you
will find it under the letter T for TF Boys,” came the salesgirl’s
reply.
“Thanks! You’ve been very helpful,” replied Jason as he
walked towards that shelf.
11. Context and Listen. In groups of three.
Extend the dialogue by three-four lines. Add
Carla’s brother.
Dan: Do you use the class blog?
Carla: Yes I do but I only log on from time to time. How
often do you use it?
Dan: I log on after school every day. I always log on
on weekends too.
Carla: I rarely log on during the week. I don’t have
time. I occasionally log on on the weekends but
my brother uses the computer a lot.
Dan: Oh, ok. So that’s why you don’t see my
messages.
