Paleolithic age
The Paleolithic age is also known
as the OLD STONE AGE. It started
around 50,000 BC and came to an
end in 10,000 BC.
Their main occupation was
hunting. They attached various
stones which were very heavy and
blunt. They made tools like
Hammers, Scrapers and Hand Axes.
They were having no homes
because they have to roam in
jungles to hunt animals so they were
also called Nomads
One of the greatest invention in
Paleolithic age was-FIRE. It helped
them drive away wild animals and at
night they used fire to lit up there
caves. And kept them warm.
They wore jewellery made up of
animal bones, ivory and horns of
animals.

Mesolithicage
The Mesolithic age is also known as
the MIDDLE STONE AGE. It started
around 10,000 BC and came to an end
around 8,000 BC.
Their occupation was also hunting,
but they made better and sharper tools
that were called MICROLITHS.
In this age, most of the people were
nomads, but almost at the end, they
started living I primitive simple
houses.
In this age, people learnt to make
CRUDE POTTERY. They used sun-
baked clay. They also invented BOW
AND ARROW which helped them in
hunting fast running animals.
They painted paintings such as
birds, animals and human beings.
MICROLITHS
NEOLITHICAGE
The Neolithic age is also known as the
NEW STONE AGE. It started around 8,000 BC
and came to an end at 4,000 BC.
Their occupation was AGRICULTURE. So,
they started settling at one place as they
have to wait for the crops to grow.
In this age, people started settling in
houses and groups and started making
pottery which helped them in storing grains.
In this age, they learnt to make
NORTHERN BLACK POLISHED POTTERY AND
POLISHED GREY WARE POTTERY.
One of the greatest invention in this age
was the WHEEL. Wheel was invented during
the early 3,500 BC. Wheel helped them in
making different kinds of pottery

COPPER STONE AGE. It started around
4,000 BC and came to an end at 2,000 BC.
There occupation was AGRICULTURE
and MAKING COPPER TOOLS.
In this age people lived in groups and
settled at one place and made copper.
One greatest invention in this age was
bronze. They made copper by mixing TIN
and COPPER. They discovered bronze in
3,300 BC.
Bronze tools were better than before
tools. They made tools such as Axes,
Knives, Swords etc. Chalcolithic age marks
