1. Technology is becoming increasingly important in our daily lives in the
twenty-first century. Even children as young as three to four years old can
use an iPad or an iPhone nowadays. As a result, society has made use of
today's technology for learning. It has progressed from traditional
classroom and whiteboard learning to online learning with the use of a
mobile phone as a compliment. There are numerous advantages to online
and mobile learning, but there are also advantages to traditional learning
that technology cannot replace.
Online learning is the process of studying without having to physically
attend classes or lectures, and mobile learning is designed to make online
learning more efficient by allowing students to easily get knowledge via
the internet using today's smartphones. Students can complete their
projects from anywhere because they do not have to physically attend
lectures. This is highly beneficial because each student has their own
studying preferences or settings where they may learn more effectively.
It is an interactive learning experience in which students develop their
creativity and absorb information as they go from one location to another
through practical challenges and hands-on experience. Feldman and
McPhee claim that kinesthetic learners are most successful when they are
completely immersed in a learning task. When they participate in a science
experiment, theatrical presentation, skit, field trip, dance, or other active
activity, they learn the most. Online learning is unable to accomplish this
because it is only focused on computer knowledge and capabilities.
Because it is centered on activities and learned via those activities,
kinesthetic learning can be learned by people of all ages, from the young to
the old. A computer or a smartphone may be inaccessible to the young or
the elderly. As a result, online and mobile learning may not be appropriate
for all kids.
