2. INTRODUCTION
EEnglish as a foreing language, indicates the use of English in a non-
English-speking region. Study can occur either in the student`s home
country, as part ot the normal school curriculum or otherwise, or for
the more priviledged minority in an anglophone country that they visit
as a sort of educational tourist particularly immediately before or
after graduating university.
English Unlimited is designed to help learners achieve specific
communicative goals. These goals are listed at relevant points
throughout the coursebook.
Because it is based on practical goals, it teaches authentic language, that
is, the kind of language which is really used by native speakers of
English in everyday situations.
