SELECT ACCOMPLISHMENTS
 Internship experience for George Mason University: with the Executive Director of a
501C3 organization, Grace Ministries, worked to set priorities and implement monthly
health screenings and provide health information at four separate locations for
approximately 1000 families (3500 low income individuals); primarily Spanish speaking
immigrants. Program continues with Grant Funding.
 Taught Multicultural LPN, Nurse Aide and Personal Assistant classes to maximize pass
rates for Nursing Board Exams required for licensing in the profession and work in the
field.
 As a Nurse Practitioner, created a video about Baby Care for new parents, revamped Well
Baby forms to increase opportunities for education and questions for the new parents.

School Health Division Arlington, VA
 Provided public health nursing to a multi-ethnic student population in assigned 640
student middle school and 420 student preschool through 5th grade elementary schools.
Identified students with medical conditions that impeded learning then referred them.
 Conducted classes for staff and students in preventive care and treatment modalities for
diseases such as asthma, diabetes, allergies, etc.
 Participated in immunization clinics available to all county residents.
