ITCrimes USA Ltd. (American branch of company listed below) 2009 - 2011

ITCrimes PTY) Ltd had developed an unique anti computer theft system which turned out to be very
successful in South Africa. It was an unique cooperation between private company and the South
African police. The company wanted to expand internationally.

Experience in the marketing of the online security product of ITCrimes SA (PTY) Ltd.. in America
Background information: ITCrimes SA (PTY) Ltd., had developed a unique anti computer theft system
which was very successful for a period of almost 5 years in South Africa. It was an unique and very
successful cooperation between the South African police and a private company
This cooperation eradicated computer theft in participating South African schools, from about 20% theft
per annum down to 0%. Also major breakthroughs were made with other participating businesses.
I was hired to establish the USA branch of the ITCrimes organization.
At that moment I considered this new career path as the golden opportunity to start a successful career
as a divisional manager of a growing international company and also to eventually get the green card.
Unfortunately there were four mainly cultural differences between what the American customers and
law enforcement authorities wanted and the South Africa product as it was designed.
Because it was decided that a quick fix of those issues was not easy it was decided that the emphasis
of product development had to concentrate first on South Africa and then later-on in the USA.
The American law enforcement authorities were significantly interested in the product, but only if their
terms were met. Unless those essential issues were resolved there could be of any possibility of
cooperation between ITCrimes USA and the American law enforcement authorities. Also for USA
customers there were two essential issues which prevented them from buying into the product.
To make a long story short, I was trying to market an unsellable product in the form that it was offered
in America. Because my L1 visa was not extended, I gave up.
Later on ITCrimes S.A (PTY) Ltd (in Johannesburg) also went under.
