Good Stuff Happens in 1:1 Meetings: Why you need them and how to do them well
Taylor-Ref Letter
1. August 5, 2013
Mr. James Taylor
5300 Virginia Way
Brentwood, TN 37027
Ref: MTSU Science Building
Mr. Taylor:
I just wanted to send a quick note to let you know how much I enjoyed and appreciated
working with you, and the entire team on the MTSU Science Building project. It’s easy to take
for granted those like yourself who are dedicated to making a project go as smoothly as the
MTSU job went. I know without a doubt that Darrell Binkley (General Superintendent) and
David Jones (Project Foreman) would echo my sentiments when I say that you were a
pleasure to work with.
It’s not on every project that the GC’s Field Superintendent is as versed in our craft, and
dedicated to keeping a job as safe and on-schedule as you did with the MTSU project - and for
that, I thank you. I’d also like to commend you on your creative problem solving, and ability to
diffuse any conflicts when they arose. I’ve only been in this industry for a relatively short
amount of time (8 years) but I can most certainly appreciate the fact that Turner has“boots on
the ground”- which I believe is absolutely key to a successful project for all parties. Not only
do they have“boots on the ground”but first-class, dedicated, and knowledgeable
professionals such as yourself.
Again, I just wanted to say thanks for being an integral part of the Turner - Sentry team! If we
can ever help you with anything, please don’t hesitate to call.
Sincerely,
Chris Hopper
