1. To Whom It May Concern.
Mr James Foucar.
James Foucar served as a Trustee (Director) on the Board of a National Charitable
Organisation from 2001-2002.
I was the Chair of the organization from 2001 to 2004, previously having served four years as
a working Trustee.
During the time that James served, our organization was going through difficult changes in
order to comply fully with Charity Commission regulations
Founder issues where clashing seriously with board policies and the charity was in danger of
collapsing under the stress of the ongoing unresolved conflict.
James s ability to focus on matters in hand, his skill in driving organizational strategies ahead
and his value-based policies helped me to keep the organization together during this difficult
time. He showed excellent communication skills, and was able to keep focussed and calm
whilst listening to all points of view.
With James s assistance, the organization moved on to a healthier and stronger position and
continued to focus on its development and coherence as a management group.
We employed a new Chief Executive early in 2001 and I asked James to mentor him. James
was extremely supportive and implemented useful induction skills.
James would be an asset to any organization and I cannot recommend him enough.
Should you need any further information I will forward my contact details when required.
