2. Holding Absence are a band from Cardiff, South Wales.
The band are not defined nor confined to a particular genre of music, however
their sound has been described as a mix of melodic and post-hardcore
(Landscapes, Capsize, Underoath) with radio friendly clean vocals in the vein
of Jonny Craig (Emarosa, Slaves). The band also features ambient, post-rock
elements not dissimilar to the likes of Hammock and Explosions In The Sky.
Their unique blend of the above musical elements, combined with a chaotic
and heartfelt live performance makes Holding Absence one of the more talked
about unsigned bands in the UK scene at present.

3. The band has released two singles, 'Immerse' and 'Luna' through the popular
YouTube channel 'Dreambound'.
Immerse - Self Produced - 24,000 views, 600 likes.

After releasing their debut track 'Immerse' the band underwent various lineup
changes, after playing their first few shows they decided to adopt a darker,
more aggressive approach to their music that would compliment their
energetic live shows. The band then went on to record their second single
'Luna'.

Following the release of 'Luna', the band underwent further lineup changes,
original guitarist Feisal El-Khazragi rejoined the band and Ashley Green
joined the band on drums.
Holding Absence are currently writing and producing their self-titled debut
Album.
CURRENT RELEASES
4. In January 2016, Holding Absence teamed up with other UK up and comers
Elegies (Hassle Records) on their first string of shows outside of Wales. During
this run the band played in front of Lawrence 'Loz' Taylor, who invited Holding
Absence to play his festival 'Festiville'.
In March, Holding Absence, went on their first UK headline tour, with support
from melodic-hardcore band Moralist.
Holding Absence are set to head out on a 12 day co-headline tour with Elegies
in August. During this tour they will be playing Throwfest in Cardiff.
Between touring, Holding Absence have played a few high profile shows
supporting the likes of Being As An Ocean, Landscapes, Capsize, Burning
Down Alaska and Casey to name a few.
