Alice Cooper and Halestorm announced they are gearing up for a co-headlining tour, bringing two
generations of rock and roll together on stages across the US this summer!
The joint tour kicks off July 17 in Allentown, PA before setting out to hit a slew of cities including
Oklahoma City, Nashville (at the traditionally country venue The Opry House!), and Cincinnati. A final
show at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, NJ will wrap up the 19-date trek on August 16.
“We are beyond excited to announce our new tour with the man who burnt the rule book on Rock n
Roll…Alice Cooper,” Halestorm frontwoman Lzzy Hale shared in a release. “Alice is our A in the ABC’s
of Rock music, and we are honored to be sharing the stage with such a legend and his incredible
band. School’s definitely out!”

Cooper had some thoughts of his own to share on the tour as well, stating “We’ve played festivals
with Halestorm, including ‘Rock in Rio,’ and now I’m excited about doing this summer tour with Lzzy
and the band, can’t wait to get to the first show.”
Cooper’s most recent release Paranormal hit shelves in 2017, however the upcoming run of shows
promises to feature some new material from the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, as well as an all-new
stage show dubbed “Ol’ Black Eyes Is Back.”
Halestorm, meanwhile, will be promoting their latest album, Vicious (2018), which earned the band
a Grammy nod for Best Rock Performance at the 61st Grammy Awards this past February.
Metal rock outfit Motionless In White will serve as the supporting act on all dates.
Who Is Alice Cooper?
Known to many as “The Godfather of Shock Rock,” Alice Cooper (born Vincent Furnier) emerged in
the 1960s as frontman of the rock band Alice Cooper. Led by Furnier’s distinct raspy vocals, the band
made their mainstream international breakthrough in 1971 with the hit single “I’m Eighteen.” Alice
Cooper reached their commercial peak in 1973, releasing their now platinum-selling sixth studio
album Billion Dollar Babies, reaching number one on the charts in both the US and the UK.

2. Around this time, Furnier adopted the Alice Cooper moniker as his own name, beginning a solo
career in 1975 with the concept album Welcome to My Nightmare. The album marked a shift in
musical direction for the experimental rocker, who would go on to explore several genres including
art rock, heavy metal, new wave, industrial rock, and more throughout his 50+ year career. Cooper’s
trademark “Shock Rock” style is drawn from inspirations the rock icon has found in horror films,
vaudeville, and garage rock. His distinct style and sound makes him what many consider to be the
pioneer in shock-factor, theatrical rock and roll.
Who Is Halestorm?
Metal/post-grunge quartet Halestorm first stepped into the spotlight at the tail-end of the 1990s,
becoming one of the first female-fronted heavy rock groups of the new millennium. Halestorm was
formed by musical siblings Elizabeth “Lzzy” and Arejay Hale, who had been writing and performing
original material throughout their childhood. The pair released their first EP Don’t Mess With the
Time Man as a duo in 1999, eventually recruiting fellow musicians to round out the band’s lineup in
the years that followed.
Halestorm’s self-titled debut arrived in 2009, breaking the Top 40 of the Billboard 200, followed by
their sophomore effort The Strange Case Of… in 2012. The Strange Case Of… earned the group their
first Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance for the hit single “Love Bites (So Do I),”
and they continued the climb to the top of the charts with subsequent releases Into the Wild in 2015
and the Grammy nominated Vicious in 2018. Halestorm is characterized by their dynamic, hook-
heavy sound as well as their ability to branch out and incorporate elements from genres like dance,
pop, and country. The group is known for their aggressive touring schedule, seemingly playing non-
stop and performing up to 250 shows a year.
