This Corp of Engineers project included the installation of the Building Automation Energy Management System using
DDC state-of-the-art controls and 26 major air units with 4,000 VAV boxes with low energy use. Medical building is
1.2 million square feet in size and project costs for controls and HVAC equipment was approximately $15,000,000.
Direct Digital Control system was the largest in the country at the time with over 60,000 control input/output points.
The central plant was also included as well as the installation of 42,000 ton low kw chiller for central cooling.
