Please consider my application and attached resume. I am currently a student at New Mexico State
University pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology with a 3.6
GPA. I have already completed Associates Degrees in Applied Science in Mechanical Drafting and Solid
Modeling, Associate of Arts in Computer Data Processing, and Associate of Science in Mechanical
Engineering Technology.
I am a non-traditional student with respect to my age and disability but I have the advantage of many
years of experience in a manufacturing environment. I had a stroke in 2005 resulting in Expressive
Aphasia. This is a condition that causes difficulty in finding the right words to complete my verbal
thoughts. It does not affect comprehension of spoken or written language.
I have excellent depth perception, reading vision, walking, typing or keyboarding skills as required for
this position. I have extensive experience in computer-aided drafting techniques, CAD modeling and
design and high level 3-D parametric CAD systems and have detailed my qualifications and background
to the job requirements below and in my attached resume.
