Jacob leads research into the supporters of Anglican Overseas Aid (AOA) through gathering and
analysing qualitative and quantitative data. He generates insights for improved and effective
supporter engagement to grow resources for international aid and development projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing sound research objectives and methodology for qualitative and
quantitative research
- Preparing a qualitative research guide, conducting qualitative interviews and
analysing data to produce sound insights
- Developing and conducting a quantitative survey of AOA supporters, analysing and
developing insights from the data

Jacob leads the men’s and community engagement ministries at St Jude’s Anglican Church in Parkville,

Manager, Youth Supporters
World Vision Australia
Jacob led a team of youth specialists to raise annually $5m, increase supporter engagement and grow
a lifetime return for World Vision Australia’s development programs. Responsibilities included:
- Pioneering the development of a three year youth supporters strategic framework
for World Vision through insights led design process
- Providing strategic leadership and direction on World Vision’s engagement with
youth to meet fundraising, advocacy, educational and brand objectives
- Overseeing and managing a team of youth specialists in the design, planning and
execution of profitable campaigns, for the purpose of fundraising, education and
advocacy (annual fundraising of AUS$5m, 12 x Youth Conferences, youth advocacy
campaigns)
- Collaborating internally and externally to enable successful working relationships for
the youth supporters team, including sitting on project teams and advisory groups
- Ensuring insights were gathered, tested and applied to youth supporter campaigns
and integrated into the creation of youth supporter journeys
- Analysing financial and non-financial data to provide trends and insights on youth,
and utilising the results to assist in the formulation of strategy
- Collaborating with global partners and providing thought leadership on global youth
campaigns
- Managing a $1.2m budget while under constant changing organisational financial
environment to within 2% +/- of the budget

Jacob oversaw the execution of key strategic projects within the youth supporter’s team that were
critical to the development of an overall youth supporter journey. Through a focus on strategic
opportunities within WVA’s work with youth supporters, Jacob oversaw the development of:
- A new Youth Ambassador Strategy informed through a thorough qualitative analysis
- The strategic shaping and oversight of World Vision’s Youth advocacy movement
- The development and testing of a framework for a youth supporter journey for WVA
- Led a team of youth ambassadors to understanding World Vision’s development
programming in Rwanda through an exposure and training trip

Jacob led the organisation’s face to face youth team (20-30 staff) within the sales and channels
division of sales and marketing. His responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that interstate teams have the adequate tools, resources and skills to meet and
exceed collective fundraising goal of $4.2m and inspire over 200,000 school students to
action
- Designing the national face to face sales strategy for World Vision Australia’s
engagement with youth in fundraising and education across 1,200 secondary and
primary schools
- Designing new in-field supporter experiences via external third parties to optimise
fundraising (from $20,000 to $100,000 per school) from key school partners
- Led a team of Youth Ambassadors to understanding World Vision’s development
programming in Timor-Leste through an exposure and training trip
