PROGRAMING PROJECTS
Professional Programming Experience
STATA Data preparation, USU Instructional Technology and Learning Services, Logan, UT
o Prepared database information and structure to be used in Bayesian prediction software
Computer Model for Ozone Production in the L.A Basin, NASA Earth Science; Irvine, CA
o Installed laser-absorption, chemical detectors onto DC8 airplane and flew on missions to gather air samples.
o Processed data from instruments in Python, programmed model in Matlab, and presented results in Igor
Timecode Editor, Utah State University (USU) College of Education; Logan, UT
o Created program in C++ to import and adjust video transcript timecodes from docx and txt files
Personal and Classroom Programming Experience
Database and Search Engine, Algorithms and Data Structures; Logan, UT
o Programmed as part of a two-man team in C++/C# to efficiently process and store a large number of text files
with formatting similar to HTML and to build a search engine optimized to find documents based on key words
Procedurally Generated Island
o Uses algorithms to procedurally generate a virtual landscape with a variety of terrain features in different seasons.
Programmed once in C++ and once with a GUI in Java, received second place ranking in a USU competition
