 Researched the spatiotemporal erosion dynamics using field-scale plots in a USDA funded
project.
o Research: Analyzed several tagged soil samples for their rare earth element content using
ICP-OES. Wrote two competitive grant proposals. Mentored graduate students and
supported their research activities. Explored new research and development ideas by setting
up lab-scale reactors, collaborating with private parties.
o Teaching: Taught as guest lecturer in two different UW-Madison courses. Participated in
an NSF-funded workshop aiming to increase instructors’ awareness in relation to diverse
learning styles and create collaborative learning environment in classrooms.

first president of the branch. Organized town hall meetings to discuss environmental
engineering problems. Setup electronic communication groups to improve communication
between the chamber administration and its members. Organized technical workshops to
contribute to the member’s professional development.

Wrote two competitive grant proposals. Mentored graduate students and supported their research activities. Explored new research and development ideas by setting up lab-scale reactors, collaborating with private parties. o Teaching: Taught as guest lecturer in two different UW-Madison courses.
