Learn how to plan your day in advance and get more done in less time using a simple online tool. It takes only a few minutes to use but will give you a clear-cut path towards what you need to get done for the day.
1. "He who every morning plans the transaction of the day and follows out that plan, carries a
thread that will guide him through the maze of the most busy life. But where no plan is laid,
where the disposal of time is surrendered merely to the chance of incidence, chaos will soon
reign."
- Victor Hugo
Here’s a harsh truth: if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.
There’s no other way I can put it.
Each of us is given 24 hours a day.
You have the same amount of time that Mark Zuckerberg has.
Meanwhile, he’s a billionaire and you’re not.
The major difference between you and Zuck is in how you spend your day.
From there, it will either make you or break you.
When I first got started in entrepreneurship, I was all over the place.
Now, I approach my business methodically and it’s all thanks to planning my day in advance.
And the way I do it is a complete no-brainer.
All you have to do is follow this guide and you’ll have a actionable to-do list of items that will
move you closer towards your goals.
So with that being said, let’s dive in.

Growth, Observe & Change, and Prioritize
4. If you want to plan your day most effectively, these are the modules that I recommend activating
them.
Make sure that the symbol is pressed down so you know that the module will be activated.
Otherwise, you will skip over it as you’re planning your day.
Step 4: Do a Braindump (Morning Brainstorm)
It’s time to roll your sleeves up.
In this section, I want you to dump everything that’s on your mind.
And I mean EVERYTHING.
It could be big things, small things, average things, etc.
We’ll sort through all this stuff later, so for now, just bare with me.
5. Step 5: Set/Review your short-term, medium-term, and long-term
goals (Stay Focused)
In this section, you’re going to set your short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals.
Each focus is made up of 3 parts.
First, you need to have a name for the thing that you want.
Next, you need to specify how you’ll know when you achieved it.
Finally, you must explain why this goal is important.
If you’ve already set your goals, then you’re just going to review your goals and make any
adjustments, if necessary.
6. Step 6: List ideas/tasks that will bring you closer to your goals.
Now that you’re clear on what you want to accomplish, it’s time to list ideas or tasks that you can
do that will bring you closer to your goals.
Write down anything that comes to mind, whether it’s big or small.
7. Step 7a: Create/Review Your “Big Hairy Audacious Goal”
In this module, we’re going to dive into your business goals. And to make it stick, we’re gonna
make it a “big hairy audacious goal” or BHAG for short.
Your BHAG needs to be a meaningful goal like your major foci, but it’s going to be oriented
towards your business.
Decide on something that’s big enough to make you stretch, but achievable within a reasonable
timeframe.
If you’ve already been through this process, then you’re just going to review your BHAG and
make any adjustments, if necessary.
8. Step 7b: Understand Business Growth
Simpleology has developed their own easy-to-understand model for growing a business. There
are 4 main components: Frame, Intensity, Regeneration, and Efficiency.
Frame is how people perceive your business.
Intensity is getting eyeballs on your business.
Regeneration is generating repeat business from your existing business.
Efficiency is your ability to convert those eyeballs in your profit.
If you want a deeper explanation of each element, click on “The Library” and scroll down to the
Business Growth section.
9. All of the links are PDFs so you can download them to your computer and save them for offline
reading.
Step 7c: Brainstorm Improvements
Now that you have a decent idea of what FIRE is, we can start brainstorming improvements for
your business.
10. Each day, Simpleology focuses on a different FIRE step.
There will be a prompt that will help give you ideas of what you can do to work on your
business. Write down a few ideas based on the step you’re on and click “Finish the Rest of Start
My Day.”
Step 8a: Understand Growth (or Stability)
Simpleology has taken the idea of wealth and broke it down into 2 simple components: growth
and stability.
Each day, you’re going to alternate between these 2 ideas.
11. Growth is anything that increases the value of your asset portfolio.
Stability is anything that helps to balance out your asset portfolio and decrease your overall risk.
Step 8b: Write down ideas for growth (or stability)
After you reviewed what you’re going to be focusing on for the day, it’s time to write down ideas
pertaining to it.
Keep in mind, it doesn’t have to be anything huge or life-changing.
Even a small step in the right direction adds up over time if you’re doing it consistently.
Step 9a: Identify the leeches
In this module, you’re going to be making observations to what’s adding to, or taking away from,
your time, money and energy.
As you do this process each day, you’re going to cycle between these 3 categories.
For the first step, you’re going to identify any “leeches” that’s taking away from your time,
money, and energy, depending on the prompt that is given.
12. Write a few that come to mind, then hit next.
Step 9b: Brainstorm ideas to remove the leeches
Now that you’ve identified the leeches, it’s time to take action against them.
Come up with a few ideas on how you can remove these leeches in your life.
Remember, it doesn’t have to be anything dramatic.
Even the smallest step in the right direction is progress.
Step 9c: Identify the boosters
Now that we’ve covered the bad stuff, it’s time to move on to the things that are going right.
In this module, you’re going to identify the things that are a “boost” to your time, money and/or
energy.
13. Step 9d: Brainstorm ideas for additional boosters
Now that we’ve identified what’s already working, let’s see if we come up with a few more things
that could work.
Don’t pre-judge your ideas. Just write it down.
When you’re done click the button that says “Finish the Rest of Start My Day”.
Step 10a: Do It, Deliberate or Dump
14. In this module, it’s time to take all of the tasks and ideas we’ve written down and begin to sort
through them.
There are 2 modes to decide: Guided and Expert.
By default, it should already be set to Guided, but if it isn’t, make sure that you do that.
After you finish sorting through your list, click next.
Step 10b: Do it Now, Delegate, Schedule, or Dump It
In the second part of Decide, we now have 4 options to choose from: do it now, delegate,
schedule, or dump it.
The names are pretty self-explanatory. It’s up to you to figure out which task belongs where.
If you’re a solopreneur, then you don’t have to worry about delegating anything.
But as a quick side note, Simpleology does have team plans available if it makes sense for you
to have it.
If you decide to schedule anything, you will be taken to a separate screen where you place the
task on a calendar of your choice.
15. You have 4 options available to schedule a task: manually (you do it yourself), Google
Calendar, MS Outlook, and download the iCal file.
Use the one that makes the most sense for you.
Step 11: Prioritize Your List
At this point, you should have a list of tasks you want to get done for the day.
However, I believe there’s value in prioritizing your to-do list.
Simpleology comes packed with 3 distinct methodologies for organizing your to-do list.
The first type is called Freeform.
16. For this method, you can arrange your to-do items however you wish.
Next, there’s H.I.M.E., which stands for High Impact, Minimal Effort.
In this methodology, you rate each item on a scale from 1 to 10 for impact and ease.
The higher the score, the better.
After you rate everything, click sort and you will have your list of things-to-do sorted the HIME
way.
Last, but not least, we have Big Rock/Little Rock.
17. It’s a pretty straightforward methodology.
You rate each item on a scale from 1 to 10 in terms of difficulty.
The harder something is, the higher the rating.
You then hit the sort and voila, your list is sorted.
You can use one, or a combination of each methodology to find what works for you.
Once you’re done sorting your list, you’ll be taken to the Simple Mode page.
18. From here, you’ll have access to your to-do list and you’re officially ready to start your day.
All it takes is a few minutes each day and you’ll have a well-structured to-do list of things that
are moving you closer to your goals.
So, what are you waiting for?
Go plan your day!
