Jack Wakeley, a 2014 Voorheesville graduate studying architecture at the University of Buffalo, visited a design class to share his college experiences. He presented his portfolio and discussed the projects, concepts, structure of classes, and expectations of his program. Jack also demonstrated some of the computer programs he has learned. The visit provided students with valuable insight into studying architecture in college.

Alum Pays It Forward
Voorheesville graduate Jack Wakeley '14 ( brother of Robin '17 and Sam '19) visited the Design and Drawing for
Production class on Thursday, January 21. Jack, a sophomore in the Architecture program at the University of
Buffalo, presented his portfolio to the classes and gave the students a well rounded sense of college architectural
courses. Teacher Erin McCaffrey elaborates, "He walked us through some of the projects and concepts that he
has learned, how classes are structured, the high expectations they have of their students and what life is like
as a student studying architecture. Jack brought in some of his drawings and even took the time to
demonstrate some of the computer programs he has learned. This was an invaluable learning experience for
