1. A brief description
about me

2.  Hello, my name is Julieth, my
last name is Gil. I would like to
talk a little bit about me.
 In this beautiful journey of
becoming a teacher, many
things have influenced my life,
and one of these things is my
family. I have learned different
aspects from them, I am a very
familiar person, I love
spending time with them: my
father, my mother, my three
brothers and my beautiful
daughter who is the love of my
life.

3.  Also, another thing I really love is
learning and studying, especially
about my field, so now I am going
to tell you about my academic
life. During my high school days, I
was in a school in which only girls
studied but that was one of the
best schools ever. Besides, in that
school, I could know my best
friends called Katherine and
Yesica. In addition, in that place,
I could know some of the best
teachers who inspire me to
become one of them. Next, I
studied At CESDE, I did my
technical studies about “Gestión
en administración”.

4.  At the same time, I realized about
the importance of studying a
different language, so I began
studying English at an institute,
where I could learn many things
and speak English with others. But
two years later one of the most
significant experiences of my life
was to study at a university Luis
Amigó the major I always loved and
it was teaching so I could combine
two of my favorite things English
and Teaching. I got my bachelor’s
degree and I have been working at
the same university for at least 7
years.

5.  On the other hand, since I was a
child I want to become a teacher,
maybe because of my role as the
oldest sister because I had to help
my mother with my brothers even
doing the homework or teaching
them some things. Moreover, I have
always loved to study and learn
different things. I remember I used
to play with my brothers as the
teacher and they felt happy and
comfortable with me in this role so I
enjoyed and I pretended to be their
teacher, what I could notice was
they enjoyed being my students.

6.  The idea I had at the beginning was, “I
wanted to be an English teacher to
transmit all my knowledge to my student
to stay with them and become a
meaningful person in their lives”. As well
as, this is because teaching English is an
area of a great opportunity because it is
demanded. However, these ideas have
changed with the years, although I
continue thinking on transmit knowledge
I can not transform their lives or their
realities, I am just a person who can
influence the way they perceive
language. I try to do that every time I
have a class with my students, in that
way, students can enjoy the learning
process.
