2. Queen Victoria reigned England from age 19-72 years old,
1838-1901.Queen Victoria was very short! She was born 24th
May 1819, in Kensington Palace London.

4. Many children in early Victorian weren't able to go
to school, so many children weren't able to read
or write! At a certain age the boys would get sent
off to Eton or Rugby. While the girls stayed
at home and were taught singing, piano playing
And sewing.

had to work hard.

6. Victorian families were usually
very big. They were big because
the parents usually wanted to
keep the family name going.
Also there were a lot of illnesses‘ and
they wanted to have children.
7. A Victorian farm was a very busy place, it
had lots of hard working people, helping
the place run smoothly. There was also a
lot of animals. There were many places on
the farm for instance, the blacksmith,
the kitchen, the kitchen garden and the mill.
8. In every was a punishment book. A very
common punishment was the cane.
Another punishment is ‘Dunces cap’ where
they stood at the back of the classroom on
a stool while keeping the your hands on
your shoulders! Also the belt which is a bit
like the cane. And loads more!
9. Why did children get these
punishments?
These are some reasons why children got
these punishments: rude conduct, leaving
the playground without permission,
sulkiness, answering back, missing
Sunday prayers, throwing ink pellets and
being late. Boys were caned by their
bottoms, while girls were caned across
their hands or bare legs! Children were
aloud to choose the canes they were
going to be hit with.
