OPSIS
• Elle Innes, an only child, who is currently
dealing with the death of her mother, has her
entire life shattered when her father, fuelled by
alcohol, starts to abuse her physically and
suggests sexual intentions.
• She responds by fleeing and starts a new life
with a job in a bar however, everything changes
when her father shows up and starts drinking at
the bar in a dishevelled state, drowning his
sorrows. She has to make a choice.
• She takes the brave step to confront him. He
promises he has changed and begs for
forgiveness.
• She is convinced and returns home, back into
an abusive relationship.

Ultimately this is a short about the cycle abuse victims go
through, revealing how hard it is to break free. We want to
highlight the fact that the issue is not something fictional, but
is still a very real and troubling problem in the 21st century.
10. Elle is an example of a victim, one which mentally
cannot escape her father who himself is
experiencing his own traumas, and inflicting those
on his daughter.
