SUMMARY:
From an early age I have enjoyed working manually. My father’s building firm was a
good forum for basic skills. I then developed my interperson and communicative
skills dealing with the public during a short career in corperate communication.
Missing the creative and satisfaction I got from the building trade I soon went back.
Working as a Groundworker and Plant operative within civils construction and rail
civils. Both directly and more recently freelance through agencies. I work well within
a committed team structure. Strive to meet targets and deadlines with a very good
knowledge base. For 6 years my coss ticket gave me a strong understanding of
railway safty. Also 7 years of RRV op’s has varied the scope on other railway works.
I am always keen to learn and adapt well. Working freelance I have developed a good
relationship with many companys both large and small.

Oct 14-Present. Buckingham group/ SCP
POSITION: Supervisor/Machine operator
PROJECT: Earthworks and structures at MOD section of the Bicester to
Oxford Carillion joint venture for East West Rail, Chilton Rail
and Network rail.
DUTIES: Supervising, briefing implementation of POWRA. Operating
Excavator cutting embankment, Bunt, rabit netting instalment
and top soiling batter. Day to day running of 6 man gang in
section.
Jan 14-Oct-14 Vinchi/Venesky-Brown

PROJECT: Nottingham Trams
DUTIES: Day to day running of small group. Liaising with GF
paperwork, keeping Principle contractor and
Clients safey file upto date. Daily POWRA, SSOW, Plant logs,
Havs, Permits to dig, spike, hot works. And help implement
when lifting PUWER, LOLER. Distrobution and records of

PROJECT: Retford to Gainsborough re-signelng contract.
DUTIES: Daily briefing and signing of task brief and method statement.
plant logs, Permits and coss forms. Extraction of earth for
concrete base. Liaise and assist with shuttery joiner. Install
steal detail and cable ducts. Poar and easy float PSB base. Plus
2 other smaller REB bases. At different locations.
Instalation of FTP posts and LOC bases,boxes. Timber with
ballest board surrounds with hand rails. Drivers walk ways.
Rod and roping, Brick and ballest board re-enforcement.

POSITION: Plant operator
PROJECT: Atherton rail bridge renewal.
DUTIES: 360, Telehandeler and Cherry picker op’s. Site set up and
service road. Bridge road strip down to under plates, Steel fix,
shutter and concrete cloak of existing brick stantions. Mass
pour of disused right and left void. Removal of old steel
structure. Assist sub-contract company with lift and placement
of new bridge.

PROJECT: Orban Railway station drainage installation
DUTIES: Trench, installation of drainage ducting. Gravel & tram rap.
Back fill and fit catch pits.
Jan 10-June 11 Gamble/Telent

PROJECT: Peterbrough to Great Yarmouth Crossing re-signaling
and platform security cameras.
DUTIES: Daily briefs and signing of risk assessment, method statement
Oversee 2 gangs installing FTP, LOC boxes, rod and roping of
Manholes at crossing.
Construction of concrete top hat bases for security cameras on
platforms.

wagon loading. Block paving, kerb laying, batters.
