Lorain Road Business District Revitalization Plan Final Presentation
International Women's day
1. International Women’s Day!
Celebrating the women JAM
works for and with on the
African continent!
Eugenia, Angola 2014
Catumbela Malnutrition
Clinic, Angola
Eugenia and her son, Romario,
have been at the clinic for two
weeks receiving life-saving
JAM supplied F75 and F100
therapeutic formulas.
2. Rosalina, JAM PLC Farm, Mozambique
The majority of our employees are women at
the ‘Farm.’ Together, we are pioneering a new
era in sustainable school feeding through our
Homegrown School Feeding Programme.
3. Akol, Bor, South Sudan
Akol does’t know where her family is, but
she is alive and will care for her grandson.
He is all that she has left and without
JAM’s supply of food to her as an
Internally Displaced Person(IDP), she
would not survive.
4. Maria, Mozambique
A single mother of two, Maria,
is a PTA member at her
children’s JAM supported
school. She volunteers to help
tend the school’s maize field
and cook JAM’s porridge for
lunch.
5. Rosalina, Angola
Despite having lost
several children to
starvation and
sickness, Rosalina is
still a vital member
of her community in
Cubal, Angola.
6. “I care for the
children here that are
starving. It is my
calling and thank you
for helping us care for
our little ones,” says
nurse Ermelinda,
from the Catumbela
Malnutrition Clinic
Angola.
7. Mina Primary School,
Lobito, Angola.
Without the women who
volunteer to cook JAM’s
nutritious porridge, we
would not be able to
support as many children as
we do in South Africa,
Angola, Mozambique and
South Sudan.
8. Christina, Mozambique
Christina is a grand mother and farmer. In
the afternoons she helps weed and tend her
community’s school garden and maize field.
9. Ninae, Tchiyala Village,
Angola
Although, she has lost six of
her eight children, Ninae still
smiles and gives her all for
her village and family. She
has an infectious smile and
loves to help and dance for
any occasion.
10. Tchiyala Village, Angola
Every day, hundreds and thousands of women and children in rural African
villages walk miles to collect water that is unfit for human consumption. Each
well we drill and install results in less time being wasted collecting water, and
the community knows that the water is safe to drink.
Thank you for being part of a team that
works every day to help change the lives of
women in Africa.
