12. EV OPPOSIVE
Lack of charging infrastructure:-
The charging infrastructure for electric
vehicles in India has not been fully
developed yet.
Cost:-The cost of EVs is very high
mainly due to the cost of Li-ion cells.
The battery packs are imported and
cost a lot, about $275/KWh in India.

16. LEVEL-I CHARGING STATIONS
It comes under slow charging.
It takes about 8-10 hours to completely charge the
vehicle.
These are mostly used at home as it perfectly
suits overnight charging. With this type of charging,
the life of batteries is high.
17. LEVEL-II CHARGING STATIONS
It comes under medium charging
category.
It takes 3-4 hours to completely charge
the vehicles.
With this type of charging, the life of
batteries is comparatively high but not as
that of level-I charging.
18. LEVEL-III (DC FAST) CHARGING STATIONS
This is the fastest type of charging.
The charging units are very expensive and require more
power.
To charge 80% of the battery, it takes around 30 to 45
minutes.
Life of battery is widely affected by the speed of
charging.
Thus by taking into consideration the factors like
speed of charging and battery life of vehicles, it can be
concluded that Level-II charging is the best way of
charging the vehicles in present scenario.
NOTE :-
19. CURRENT ISSUE
Among all of the challenges faced by the EV
industry, the most prominently reported problems
are low mileage of the vehicles, higher costs, lack of
service centers, unawareness about maintenance
and servicing, unclear policies, supply chain
problems, and insufficient charging stations
The cost of an EV lithium-ion battery in the country
alone costs about Rs. 5.7 lakhs, which comes out to
US$ 250 per kWh
20. GUJARAT GOV. EV POLICY

encourage people for EV adoption, the government
has also incentivized the purchase and use of EVS
as mentioned below
