The International Broadcasting Convention, commonly known as IBC, is an annual trade show
for broadcasters, content creators/providers, equipment manufacturers and other participants in
the Broadcasting industry. IBC is Europe’s largest professional broadcast show and is held every
year in September in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
IBC attracts 50,000+ attendees, and has over 1,400 leading exhibitors of electronic media
technology.
Israel’s New Media industry is active in Internet applications and services, online advertising and
entertainment; they are also dynamic players in broadcast, digital & cable TV, IPTV and satellite
services amongst other sectors. Israel is well represented in IBC in a national pavilion with about
30 exhibitors. The Israel Pavilion at IBC serves as a hub of innovation and an oasis of expertise
and is a “must visit” for all serious players.
IBC has sizable visitors from India, thanks to the Indian Media & Entertainment industry that has
been growing in the range of 12-15% for some years. The industry is largely driven by increased
digitization, growth of regional media, robust film industry and emergence of new media for
content delivery.
The Israeli exhibitors at IBC 2013 will be located at the Israeli Innovation Pavilion, Hall 3 ,
stand B20, in Amsterdam from September 13th until the 17th
.
