INTRODUCTION
Wanting to be better or the same than others is not the right thing, if not to
have a unique personality. Sometimes we are and reflect what our parents
teach us, and that can make it positive or negative in our lives both
professionally and work. And that is why a summary of a story will be presented
where the personality of people and our way of thinking and seeing others is
reflected.

The Witch
In one of the floors of the apartment where she lived was "the Witch", or
rather, Doña Celeste. Doña Celeste was a mature woman with a very calm
body of a middle age of approximately 30 years, one of the original tenants
who, in a moment of mental weakness, our elders believed to be calm and
honest. Because, as it soon became clear, Doña Celeste was evil made flesh:
she spoke ill of everyone, she was spiteful and vengeful, she was always up to
something against others and spread hoaxes that ended with more than one
marriage. No neighbor would go out into the street when she was on the
balcony, lest she spread a hoax out loud or throw a pot on her head. She
instilled panic in everyone who met her. But the worst was not this. No. Doña
Celeste was fortunate to have been soon widowed by her husband, a timid
lawyer named Don Fructuoso. And gossip told that her husband did not die a
natural death but that a fatal disaster occurred and that she had killed him. And
what's more, some of those gossips claimed that she stabbed him, which was
clear evidence of Doña Celeste's wickedness and, incidentally, raised slight
suspicions of the forensic ineptitude. But, apparently, no one bothered to
believe those rumors and she avoided any brush with justice. In addition, Doña
Celeste, always very clever and cunning, tried to improve her image by showing
herself as a kind and sorrowful woman during the time that the mourning lasted.
She also had a small child to feed, which served to round off the fiction of her
as a courageous, widowed and abandoned mother. But when the mourning
passed, she returned to her old ways. And the boy grew up and proved to have
the same genes as her mother: he was sanguine, violent, irritable and visceral;
he threatened the neighbours, he threatened the shopkeepers to forgive the
debts contracted by her mother, he threatened us. And her mother, even
worse: she disliked us, despite being cross-eyed; she would urge us on her

son at the first chance of change, especially when we had no change for the
late peseta from the rent peak, which, of course, she never forgave us. And we
still continue like this with the happy lady and her son: sometimes, in a state of
cold war; sometimes in a state of hot war. Only on rare occasions do they grant
us a truce and talk to us like civilized people, but even on those occasions we
shudder at Doña Celeste's sly wickedness: in fact, around summer time, we
saw a black crape at her door; without it being a day of rent collection, we dared
to call and ask about such a sad situation; Doña Celeste opened it and, in a
relaxed and almost cheerful manner, explained to us that she was putting that
crepe on because that way the thieves would think that they were in mourning
in that house and then, moved by compassion, they would refrain from breaking
in to steal, so as not to further increase the crime. Pity those who still lived
there.
This story shows what we as human beings should take into account: not
everyone is to be trusted and no one is good or bad. We ourselves create our
own personality and thoughts for our life.

CONCLUTION
This story told how a man in his house building begins to describe the
personalities of his neighbors, and to realize that each person has different and
not so good characteristics. In which one of them is lady celeste, who has a
bad reputation because of her character and attitude.
Therefore it can be say that each person has different qualities and
everything depends whether we take or allow positive or negative people to
influence our lives.
