2. Motivation
Change will not come from
others actions. We are the
change we desire so if we
want change, we must be
an active participant and
be involved in what we
want
Voting
The thought of things being ran
the way I think would be best
keeps me motivated to vote. I like
the way the voting system is right
now but I wish there was more
people who were
informed/educated on what's
going on instead of voting for
someone just because your peer
did.
3. I feel like I've learned more than I thought
I would in this class. I've learned more
about the importance of our 3 branches.
Legislative/Judicial/Executive and how
they work. On top of that, I've learned the
roles of certain individuals and the
importance of political involvement. Only
us people can change the way we want
our government to work.
4. Gun Control
• The right to bear arms is
included in the 2nd
Amendment but I do feel like
this is one of the major
concerns of the future. All of
the school shootings and really
just mass shootings in general
that have happened in recent
years have the country
questioning gun control.
Personally, I'm all for
the right to bear arms,
while on the other
hand, I feel like
schools and public
places should have
more security or at
least training on how
to deal with situations
like this. At the end of
the day, the gun is
not shooting
itself, it's the people
behind the trigger.
5. 6th Amendment
Right to a Fair trial
• I believe everyone should
have a right to a fair trial,
I'm a firm believer in
"innocent until proven
guilty." Not only have I
seen people wrongly
convicted time and time
again, but I've received a
taste of being mistreated
during a legal trial.
I encourage everyone to go
watch the Netflix film "When
They See Us." That's a
perfect example on how
trials are not supposed to
happen. And there are many
other cases just like that
where someone's entire life
ends because an unfair trial.
6. v
• I feel like the main
thing that I'm going to
take away from this
class is my new
knowledge as far as
voting. At the
beginning of this class I
couldn't tell you what
the Electoral college
was. Or why it existed
or what the process of
voting was in general.
On top of that I didn't
realize how much of an
impact my vote has
I was never really
educated when it came
to voting that's why I've
only voted once and that
was just because a friend
told me to, but now that
I know more on how it
works, I feel more
motivated to participate
and have a voice
