gynaecologist in infertility and joined them in the medical team.

2. EDUCATION & TRAINING
2008-2011 PhD in Reproductive Immunology (Medical School)
University of Madrid (U.A.M.), Spain
§ My thesis included different research studies on Immunology of
Implantation. The project was awarded by the University of Madrid, which
sponsored it. I analysed the predictive value of Major Histocompatibility
Related protein in embryo culture supernatants, follicular fluid and blood. I
also measured different molecules related with reproductive outcome in
follicular fluid with proteomics in collaboration with Jena University
(Germany). This work was awarded in several international congresses. It
gave me a deep knowledge on the field of Reproductive Immunology and
teached me a more complete management of Reproductive Failure. The
thesis obtained the highest score cum laude.
2007-2007 Fellowship in Fertility Preservation
Universitätklinikum Innsbrück, Austria
§ This fellowship was conducted during my fourth year of residency. The
objective of the fellowship was to develop a project to improve fertility
preservation in oncologic patients in our hospital. It was awarded and
sponsored by the government. In Innsbrück I learned to vitrify ovarian
cortex under the supervision of Professor L. Wild, a world known
specialist in Reproductive Endocrinology, which also gave me a wide view
on the subject.
2003-2007 Residency in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

§ I became specialist in obstetrics and Gynaecology with a qualification of
Excellent. To be able to enter in this hospital as assistant I went through a
State Exam (MIR). This exam included all medical subjects. As I got the
best 338º position out of 9418 doctors that also did the exam, I could
choose any hospital in Spain I wanted.

English C. Proficiency user, written and spoken. I spent a whole academic year as well as
many summers in the UK.
I often use English to write papers, give talks and with international patients
German B. High level. I can understand medical reports and speak German in the practice. I
spent 4 summers in Germany with Goethe Institut. ZDA with B. My fellowship in
Austria teached me most of the scientific vocabulary related to Reproductive
Medicine. This allowed me to enjoy many Congresses in German. I also speak
German every year during my holidays.
