 Older adults must not only face the physical and
intellectual changes of their evolutionary cycle,
but also the change in their lifestyle, roles and
social responsibilities. Undoubtedly, adaptation
to this series of changes can strongly impact
their quality of life.
It is the practice of activities that people
undertake in relation to health situation, in order
to continue living, maintain health
Recommendations
 -Perform physical activity
 -Dance
 -Walk
 -Eat properly
The family
 Caring for an older adult is a great
responsibility, which is why it is important
that the person who takes charge must be
a trained person who treats him patiently,
with affection to improve his physical,
mental and social well-being
*If the adult suffers from a disease, he should
have control of it to avoid an advance or some
complication
*Family members should give love and affection
to an older adult and give them a lot of love and
affection. Children and young people should be
taught to respect, love and value grandparents
*An adult of advanced age must have a good
diet. We must always be aware that the food is
adequate, an elderly person must have a
Geriatrician doctor, who will give a diet according
to the patient's condition.
Feeding
A healthy diet is one of the most important
factors to reduce the risk of cardiovascular
disease or osteoporosis. And achieve an old
age with better quality of life and autonomy. It is
important to consume a balanced diet during
this period, privileging the consumption of:
 -Low-fat or fat-free dairy products
 -Cereals and whole grains.
 -Fruits and vegetables
 -Fish and chicken
 -Products rich in calcium and fiber.
Recommendations
 -Perform physical activity according to your
particular abilities (yoga, walking, swimming,
etc.)
 -Moderate salt intake to prevent hypertension
 -Modere consumption of sugar to prevent
diabetes and not gain weight.


Many older people think that "at their age"
exercise is not necessary: ​​big mistake. The
need for physical activity does not diminish as
you get older and, on the other hand, not
exercising leads to the loss of muscle and bone
mass, in addition to making the body less
flexible. Therefore, many times, the physical
decline associated with aging is more a
consequence of inactivity than aging itself.

is extremely important that people invest
throughout their lives in building habits that
promote a healthier and more responsible
aging. Adults must have an adequate schedule
for their food, those who suffer from some
diseases must have a control of their medicines
with the help of their relatives
 SLEEPING HEALTHY:
Alterations and complaints related to sleep are
frequent in older adults.
 Falls are a frequent health problem that has a
significant impact on the quality of life of older
adults, affecting their mobility and safety.

 -ARTERIAL HYPERTENSION
 -DIABETES:
for type 2 diabetes, it can be counteracted with
changes in lifestyle, but for type 1 diabetes,
there is no cure. Treatment for both consists of
medication, diet and exercise in order to control
blood sugar levels, prevent symptomatology
and problems
 -CEREBROVASCULAR ACCIDENT (ACV)
 -MALNUTRITION
 -ALZHEIMER:Alzheimer's disease is a
neurodegenerative disease of the central
nervous system that is the main cause of
dementia in people over 60 years
 -SENILE DEMENTIA
 - OSTEOPOROSIS
