It includes:
The general idea of the subject you’re writing about
( for eg, you can write that the use of technology has
become an important part in our daily life)
The problematic ( for eg, some people claim that
technology has advantages while others argue that it
has drawbacks)
A question ( for eg, so what are the advantages and
the disadvantages of using technology) OR you can
say : “Hence, the purpose of this essay is to discuss
both + and – of technology”
Indent your introduction
4. The body(the principal meal) includes
at least 2 paragraphs
The 1st paragraph deals with advantages.
The 2nd paragraph discusses the disadvantages.
Remember to start each paragraph with a topic
sentence (for eg, the use of technology has many
advantages. First of all , it facilitates communication)
Use linking words of addition, concession, cause and
effect, etc… . Linking words are the spices of your
essay
Don’t forget indentation ( always leave some
space before you write)
5. The conclusion( the dessert) includes
a short summary of the body
use expressions of concluding( to sum up,
finally, etc..)
You can
suggest a solution/ express your opinion/
be neutral.
