Executive Chef
Ilham is a very creative, enthusiastic and hardworking chef with a
passion for food and lots of experience working in numerous
restaurants around the world. At the age of 17, Ilham got his initial
experience working in a restaurant as a cook. Since then, he has
always known that being in a kitchen, preparing amazing food for
others, is where he wants to be.
After working as a cook In “Chillout Restaurant, Azerbaijan” for a
year, Ilham moved to “Zeytun Turkish Restaurant” to work as a
Chef. A year later, Ilham was headhunted by “Trattoria L’Olivia,
Azerbaijan” to assume the role of Sous Chef. In 2008, he was
promoted to Chef Di Cuisine at Trattoria. Over the next two years,
Ilham harnessed a vast amount of efficiency and it was here that he
developed a much more productive system of food preparation,
which was commended by the Executive Chef.
In 2011, Ilham started working with “Sbarro” which is an Italian
2. fast food chain. Over there, He gained experience in managing,
staff rosters, pricing and ordering for a large establishment.
Because of his commendable performance, he was posted to
Moscow (Russia) and Istanbul (Turkey) to train employees of
Sbarro on performance management.
In 2012, Ilham moved to Singapore to further his culinary
exposure where Chef Lino Suaro (Gattopardo Ristorante Di Mare)
took Ilham under his wing. Over the 2 years as a Sous Chef, Ilham
harnessed professional experience, culinary training and
knowledge in a number of cuisines including French, traditional
and modern Italian as well as modern Mediterranean.
Ilham is extremely skilled at putting his own stamp on traditional
dishes, creating new combinations and experimenting with new
flavors while being careful not to compromise the freshness and
originality of the food he prepares. He is great with working as part
of a team, but can also step up to the plate to delegate and take
charge when required.
