The recruitment process includes a written test, group discussion, and personal interview, with a pay scale for fresh graduates ranging from Rs. 20,600 to 46,500 per month. SAIL, founded in 1973, is India's largest steel producer and operates five integrated steel plants.

post of Management Trainee in various engineering branches like Civil, Mechanical, Electronics,
Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, Computer Science, Mining, Metallurgy etc.

includes DA, HRA, conveyance allowance, performance related pay, medical reimbursement etc.
Scheme Of Exam:
Written Test: It includes 2 major parts:
Part A: Technical paper based on respective specialization carrying 100 marks.
Part B: General Ability Test carrying 150 marks which consists of five sections as follows:
Section I: Reasoning paper carrying 45 marks.
Section II: Quantitative Aptitude carrying 35 marks.
Section III: General Awareness questions carrying 35 marks.
Section IV – English language carrying 35 marks.
Total Duration: 2hr 25min.
Negative Marks/Question: ¼ marks.
Group Discussion (GD): The candidates who are shortlisted from written test shall be called for GD
round. GD round is conducted to test communication skills, team spirit, leadership qualities. GD round
is conducted among 10-12 students where candidates are expected to discuss on single topic.
Personal Interview: PI round is conducted to test the technical and general awareness abilities of
the candidates. It includes questions on technical knowledge, Human resource, family background,
hobbies, native place, politics etc.
