2. Role and Background of Board Members
Shri P.K. Singh
 He is the Chairman of SAIL . Prior to this, Shri Singh was the Chief Executive Officer of SAIL’s Durgapur Steel
Plant. He was also given the additional charge of CEO, IISCO Steel Plant.
 He is an alumunus of IIT, Roorkee in Metallurgical Engineering.
Shri Kalyan Maity
 Director (Raw Materials & Logistics).
 Graduate in Mining Engineering. He was the General Manager (Mines) of Kiriburu Iron ore Mine in 2007 and
later elevated to the post of Executive Director, Raw Materials Division (RMD) at Kolkata
Dr.Atmanand
 Independent director .
 He has a PhD in Economics.
Shri J.M. Mauskar
 Independent Director.
 IAS officer of 1977 batch of Assam & Meghalaya cadre.

3. Smt. Bharathi Sivaswami Sihag
 Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor of SAIL.
 She is an IAS officer of Himachal Pradesh Cadre, a Post Graduate and M. Phil in
History from Delhi University. She has also been the Additional Secretary &
Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of
India.
Shri Anil Kumar Chaudhary
 Director of Finance.
 He is an alumni of Faculty of Law Studies (FLS) & Faculty of Management
Studies (FMS) of Delhi University.
Shri Binood Kumar
 Director(Commercial).
 He has a B. Tech. in Metallurgy from IIT/Kanpur.
Shri Sunil Barthwal
 Joint Secretary to the Government of India.
 He is an IAS officer of Bihar Cadre and has a Post Graduate in Economics.

 Joint Secretary.
 An IAS officer of Bihar Cadre, a Post Graduate in Economics. He did his B.A.(Hons) Economics
from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi and his M.A. Economics from J.N.U, Delhi.

 Independent Director.
 A former IAS Officer of 1981 batch (Madhya Pradesh Cadre) and retired as Additional Chief
Secretary to the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
Prof. Ashok Gupta
 Independent director.
 Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Delhi.
 Obtained his B. Tech. in Civil Engineering as well as Ph. D. from IIT Delhi .
