Before I came to college, I was told not to expect my professors to care much about me or my work; indeed, I was told that I would be lucky if any of

fact, I have found that most of the professors here at State fall into three categories: the positive teachers, the neutral teachers, and the negative teachers.

have seen, this type makes the minority. Since the mission of the university is to educate, administrators should try to get the neutral and negative
teachers to improve their teaching methods and attitudes; otherwise, the administrators should consider dismissing at least the negative teachers and

Social class describes the different "layers" that exist in society. These "layers," or classes in society, are a division that civilization has been running
on ever since the beginning of mankind. In most modern societies, our system of social class division is one of opportunity. We experience a good
deal of social mobility, where people through generations or in their own lifetime can move up or down the social scale. By examining the many
different perceptions of social class along with S.E. Hinton's The Outsiders, it is illustrated that social class has an impact on people while they are
growing up, and will usually deny them from rising above adversity.

An example of this would be the education available to people of a higher social class. It is hard for many poor people to go to college because of
high tuition costs. While scholarships are usually available, one must still maintain a high grade point average or excel in a special field to achieve
one. Because many poor people come from more fragile neighborhoods, there is generally a lack of motivation on the part of the school, family and
mostly the student (Kearl). In a 1979 Carnegie study, a child's future was found to be determined largely by social status, not brains.
Consider Bobby and Jimmy, two second–graders who both pay attention in the classroom, do well, and have nearly identical I.Q.s. Yet Bobby is the
son of a successful lawyer; Jimmy's works infrequently as a custodial assistant. Despite their similarities, the difference in the circumstances to which

The video game industry is a multibillion dollar a year industry, so it isn't hard to understand why they go through great strides to protect their image.
They provide entertainment to all ages, genders, nationalities, and ethnicities. Contrary to the opinions of the industries opponents, video games are
not destroying our youth, they challenge, educate, and provide an escape from an oppressive world. There are four main types of video games; RPG

No matter where you go in the world people are divided. They can be divided by their wealth or state of living these are social classes. In the novel

Performing three different sports each year in high school, I notice all types of people that come watch an athletic contest. To me, fans separate into

If you see them driving on the road, they are probably swerving around trying to stay on the road because they can't manage two things at once. Most
of the time on the interstate you will find them cruising along at about 50 in the fast lane, blocking traffic due to the fact they are oblivious that they
are going under the speed limit. When they are in a city traffic setting, often times they will run red lights, and make other fatal traffic errors. They
would be decent drivers, if the distractions were removed from the car! Different drivers have different personalities, and these were just some of the

Karl Marx, Max Weber and Emile Durkheim have had a great influence in the development of sociology. Marx's "Capitalism", Weber's "Bureaucracy"
and Durkheim's "Division of Labour" have significantly created their own spots as major and famous sociological theories.
These theories that have been built by sociologists during different eras have been claimed as classics.
However, while comparing the emerging forms of division of labour in modern society among different sociologists, it has been seen that all of them
have their individual and differentiating view.
Karl Marx believes that division of labour means a way in which workers of an organization were given a job at which they were good at or at which
