5. WHO CAN APPLY
We look for candidates who are:
• Fluent in English
• University students who will graduate from August 2018 or
February 2019
• For students applying to Information Services, you must be a
Computer Science or related major
• For students applying to Finance, you must be a Business or
related major

6. The application steps to one of the best internship programs are the
following:

2. Complete two online tests:
• A Numerical Test will assess your ability to manage and analyze
data
• A Situational Judgment Test (SJT) will assess your decision-making
abilities on a wide variety of simulated scenarios. If you meet the

7. 3. Submit a 1-minute video of yourself.
• Topic and instructions for the video will be given to those who pass
the online tests.
• You will only have a few days to film and submit the video, so
please be alert on our emails and the deadline.
4. Participate in an on-ground assessment (OGA), the final stage of the
recruitment process. During the OGA, we will meet face-to-face and
get to learn more about each other. You will have a chance to
showcase your skills in business cases and team activities, network
with other applicants, and meet current Philip Morris International
employees. If you meet the criteria, we may invite you to be an
INKOMPASS intern!

Why does INKOMPASS offer a 2-cycle approach?
INKOMPASS offers a 2-cycle internship program because it is an experiential
job interview, giving you a better chance to showcase your skills and abilities
and giving us a better chance to get to know you.
Across the two cycles, you will work on projects that will allow you to
discover our business challenges, opportunities, processes and systems.
The 1st cycle will give you the opportunity to discover several aspects of our
company (i.e. operations, people and culture) through projects that allow
you to interact with people from different areas.
The 2nd cycle will give you the opportunity to experience a deep dive into a
specific department or functional area.

13. What happens if I don’t want to commit myself to participate in
the 2nd cycle?
We strive to ensure you have a great 1st cycle experience so that you
eagerly look forward to get selected for the 2nd cycle.
However, in case you do not want to continue, there is no obligation for
you to do so.

14. What happens between the 2 cycles of internship?
Staying in touch with you throughout your internship journey is very
important to us. You will hear from us between the 2 cycles of your
internship, through:
1. An exclusive INKOMPASS mobile app, which will allow you to keep in
touch with the global INKOMPASS community;
2. Invitations to company activities and events;
3. Communication from your COACH and BUDDY.

15. I reside outside of the country where I would like to do my
internship, can I still apply to the program?
Yes, we welcome applications from outside of Korea. However, all
candidates who pass the online test must attend On-Ground Assessment in
order to qualify as a candidate. All cost involved in travel and
accommodation, etc. will be borne by the candidate.

18. If I cannot attend the on-ground assessment, are there any other
dates available?
To become a part of one of the best internship programs, you must attend
the On-Ground Assessment as a part of the selection process.
Unfortunately no alternative dates will be available.
The OGA dates will be on the week of Nov. 27, 2017, and the event will
take place full day including an after-party, and your full presence will be
required.

19. Will I receive feedback if I don’t get selected? When?
Yes. You will be informed of your application progress during each step of
the process by your registered email. Whether or not you meet the criteria
to progress on to the next application step, you will receive an email
confirmation regarding your status. If you do not hear back from us within
2-3 weeks of completing an application step, please contact us at
inkompass.global@pmi.com.
When will the internship start and how long will it last? Is there
any flexibility with these dates?
INKOMPASS 2017 Cycle 1 will start January 8, 2018, and will last for 5
weeks. Cycle 2 will start July 2, 2018 and last for another 6 weeks. Unless
there are inevitable business circumstances, these dates are not flexible.

20. What are the normal work hours?
Normal work hours are from Monday through Friday, from 9:00AM to
6:00PM.
Is the INKOMPASS internship paid? What contractual conditions will
I be under as an intern?
INKOMPASS interns will be working under an employment contract with
Philip Morris Korea Inc. You will be paid during your internship journey and
your salary will be KRW 2,500,000 for Cycle 1 and KRW 3,000,000 for Cycle 2.

21. Will I be assigned a group project or an individual project?
The projects that we assign to our INKOMPASS interns are carefully
selected by our teams in each country. Depending on the scope and the
expected deliverables of these projects, we decide if it is best that they
are carried out individually or by a project team. In any case, we always
make sure that all of our projects meet high quality standards and that
they are meaningful and challenging for our interns.
Interns are never alone during their INKOMPASS experience. They receive
support, coaching and feedback from their Coaches, Project Sponsors and
Buddies.

22. What type of guidance and support can I expect to receive
throughout my program, to help develop me professionally?
Every INKOMPASS intern will receive day-to-day guidance and support
from their COACH, who has the same function as a supervisor. He / she
will introduce you to your project, clarify expectations, guide you on a day-
to-day basis, and provide you with feedback.
In addition, you will also receive support from:
- Your PROJECT SPONSOR, who will ensure you have everything you need
in terms of resources and budget to execute your proposals;
- Your BUDDY, who will help you answer general questions and network
with different people and departments in the company.

23. Will I be assigned a group project or an individual project?

24. What is the criteria for advancement to the 2nd cycle of the
program? How will I be assessed?
During the 1st cycle, you will complete a project with a definite scope and
deliverables, based on which you will be assessed. We believe that both
WHAT you achieve / deliver and HOW you do so is important. This is why
you will also be assessed on the behaviors you display which should be
aligned with our company’s work ethics.
Throughout the experience you will receive feedback and guidance so that
you understand what is expected of you. The final assessment will take
place at the end of each internship cycle.

25. Will I receive feedback regarding my performance? When?
Your COACH and PROJECT SPONSOR will provide you with feedback throughout
your INKOMPASS experience.
We also highly value your insights, feedback, and ideas, so please share them
with us as well!
Can I use my internship project experience as a university assignment
and / or as credits for graduation?
You may use internship project experience as a university assignment for credit
as long as our internship program meets the requirements defined by your
academic institution.

26. Will I receive a job offer with Philip Morris International when I
complete my internship?
If you successfully complete both cycles of the INKOMPASS internship and meet
the required performance standards, you may receive a job offer at the
