For example, The Swiss government attaches great importance to tourism innovation and has established a project to promote innovation and cooperation in tourism.
In Sweden, the Innovation Policy of the National Innovation Agency covers the tourism industry and has set up a tourism project – “Dynamic Innovation System for Regional Growth”.
In Germany, the head of the tourism department stressed that tourism needs innovation, especially in terms of improving mobility, applying new technologies, building innovation networks, and integrating policies through tourism policies.
There are three major innovation drivers for the rapid development of global tourism:
1,The development of mobile internet and the emergence of new media
Mobile finance, mobile O2O, mobile travel, mobile live broadcast and other industries all experienced deep adjustments in 2016 and carried out “supply-side reform”.
2、The sharing economy brings many possibilities for tourism
It is changing the way people travel and vacation, making full use of idle resources.
3、The emergence of new technologies such as AR, VR, and AI
Artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, VR/AR, cloud computing and the emergence of 360-degree panoramic cameras continue to subvert the development of the travel industry.

Ok, let’s take a look at the development of China’s tourism industry. China's tourism industry is entering an era of high-quality tourism. China's tourism industry has new changes and new features in terms of industrial scale, product supply, and consumer demand.
This figure shows a development growth trend for domestic tourism since 197.5 when the date was available om domestic tourism in China. As can be seen from the figure, the growth has been quite substantial and constant historically.
China's tourism industry has gradually shifted from the stage of high-speed tourism growth to the stage of quality tourism development. Driven by factors such as global tourism, consumption upgrading, cross-border integration, mobile Internet, etc., tourism industry is facing a fundamental change. “Innovation” has become a key word: product innovation, model innovation, service innovation, technology innovation, management innovation, service innovation, and management innovation.
Innovation has become a new driving force for the development of China's tourism industry.

This is the classification of tourism-guided happiness industry in the “three new” business model.
Mainly include new accommodation services, such as long-term rental apartments, short-term rental apartments, budget hotel chains, campsite services, and modern leisure sports services, as well as cultural and entertainment services, including digital creativity and integration services, digital museums, etc.
Just now we mentioned the happiness industry, happiness industry is an industry related to people's quality of life and happiness, such as tourism, culture, sports, health, education and training, and old-age care.
Taking tourism industry as the first industry of happiness industry is mainly because in modern society, tourism has become an important part of people's lives. As a comprehensive and stimulating industry, tourism is not only closely linked to industries such as culture, sports, health and pension, but also can vigorously promote the development of these industries and promote people's health, spiritual pleasure, growth of knowledge and happiness.

With the increase of residents' income level and the continuous increase of tourism demand, China's tourism industry has changed from minority tourism to mass tourism, from scenic tourism to global tourism, tourism has risen from simple travel and play to a symbol of quality life and has become a important parts of happy life for the people.
The "three new" proposed by China, new industries, new formats, and new business models have put forward new requirements and development directions for the development of the tourism industry. There are great opportunities and challenges. How should the tourism industry respond?
