2019年3月の人工知能学会ことば工学研究会で発表したスライドです Author: Hiroki Fukushima Title: On the discussions of the Aesthetics of the Taste and Smell Abstract: In this presentation, the author considers the feasibility of the aesthetic appreciation of the haptics, smells, and tastes. Generally, these sensory domains are not regarded as the subject of the aesthetics mainly because they do not have an artefactual object. The presentation will be started with introducing Sibley's issue (Tastes, Smells, and Aesthetics) and defensive argument of the theoretical issues of olfactory art by Shiner and Kriskovets(2007). Here the author does not give a conclusion for the question whether they could be the subject of the aesthetics or not. Instead, the author illustrates some examples of the "haptic aesthetics" through the Japanese teacups, and gives some examples of the "aesthetic concepts of the taste" through the descriptions of the taste of Japanese sakes.
