In this presentation, we are discussion about one of the biggest problem faced by not just India but the entire world and proposing an idea which can solve the problem to a great extent. The solution in derived from the technical stack of the software domain. The idea is to build a web app so that public can identify the sources of pollution and that can be bought to the notice of the concerned authority.
3. Every day we come across several sources of pollution,
polluting the very basics of our lives- Rivers, Land, Air and
Noise. We know nothing about who/whereto report it and
how.We have an Innovative way to identify the sources of
pollution in your area, get it prioritized through people votes,
escalate it to the concerned authorities, keep a track of the
progress and get notified of the actions taken. It will provide
an End-2-Endtool to battle pollution democratically partnering
with Govt.
Problem Statement Details :
India Vs Pollution
5. It is clear why we have to worry so much about pollution in our
country. It's high time now to take preventive measures to reduce
the effect of pollution on our lives.
But
6. Though Government’s are trying their best to reduce the
pollution ,many issues aren’t Reaching them. Hence a
platform is required which connects the government with
people, where citizens can post pollution related problems in
their locality and bring it to the notice of higher authorities.
Hence, lot of workload is reduced for the government ,
workers as well as people since any complaint can be filed
with the click of a button.
Idea/Solution
7. • The idea is to create responsive web application which can
be accessed from a mobile, tablet or a PC where the user
can directly take a picture or upload an existing image.
• There will be two separate portals one for administrators
and the other for users. Every user must register and login to
post an issue and anybody can view the problems which are
posted on the website.
• Each issue will be given three buttons high, medium and low a
users must prioritize which issue is causing more effect and whic
has to be solved first
8. Why Responsive Website over Mobile app?
•For broad marketing outreach, A Website is the place to
start.
•When it comes to deciding whether to build a native app or
a mobile website, the most appropriate choice really
depends on our end goals. If we are developing an
interactive game an app is probably going to be our best
option. But if our goal is to offer mobile-friendly content to the
widest possible audience then a mobile website is probably
the way to go.
•Once our idea is reached to maximum number of people,
then building a Mobile app can be given a thought.
9. Web Application
Admin Portal. User Portal.
SignUp/Login. SignUp/Login.
Post an Issue.View the Issue and take
action accordingly.
After the Issue is Solved
remove it from the page.

10. Issue#1
Issues with more no. of high risk votes are displayed on the
top
indicating to act quickly on the issue.
11. Technology Stack
1. Front End is beautifully designed with a responsive nature us
•HTML
•CSS
•JavaScript
2. For Back End PHP is used.
3. Data is stored in a MySQL database.
12. Use Cases
•The web app can be used in various situations we come across
Sewage leaking from a manhole or a manhole uncovered vehicle
emitting impermissible amount of gases, Littering in lakes, rivers,
Cutting of trees without permission etc
•Any situation which we feel is harmful to our environment can
be
clicked and posted in the website.
13. •Problem arises when the pollution level is beyond the scope
of
solving within a short time.
•Example, Consider the Yamuna River in Delhi or Hussain
sagar
lake in Hyderabad. For many years they are being polluted by
sending Industrial waste into the water or littering. These
cannot be solved within a day or two.
• Hence, Users can post pictures of sources of waste entering
into the water because of which the water is getting polluted
and if possible Government will take action on it.
But!!!
