2. About Us
The Himalayan Outback was started in 2004 by Mickey Sidhu and Misty
Dhillon. The focus of this company from the start has been to provide the best
experience and world class service to our guests; to ensure that our employees
get the proper training that will enable them to perform their tasks to the best of
their ability and provide them with career growth paths, and lastly; to educate
communities where we operate in the benefits of “Catch & Release” fishing.
On the conservation front we participate in various efforts by providing support
to local communities for the benefits of sustainable outdoor tourism. These
efforts slowly yield results in protecting the Golden Himalayan Mahseer and
the surrounding ecosystem in these sections of remote rivers.
3. SERVICES
Fishing:
● The Mahseer
The Mahseer is highly regarded for its
fighting abilities – using the fast flowing
waters of the Himalayan Rivers even a 15 lb
Mahseer can put up a fight that is not for the
faint hearted. The British (during their stay in
India) and the Indian Royalty popularized
fishing for the species, and for some it became
a rite of passage akin to killing a tiger! Stout
tackle was the order of the day and often that
too did not measure up to the power and brute
force exerted by the Mahseer.
4. Wildlife Trips:
India is steeped in rich ancient culture
and probably one of the most awe-
inspiring landscapes. This diverse
landscape is home to some of the
world’s rarest wildlife. Wildlife Tours In
India With protected National Parks all
across the length and breadth of India,
you have to opportunity to see Tigers,
One Horned Rhinoceros, Indian
Elephants and a myriad of other wildlife
in their natural habitat.
5. Himalayan Treks:
The Himalayan ranges form the northern
border of India and include some of the
highest peaks in the world. In the North
they run the entire width of the country
from East to West. The natural landscape
includes breathtaking meadows, lakes and
mountain passes. This picturesque
landscape has remained mostly untouched
by the rampant modernization taking place
in the Indian cities.
