1. College Admissions Essay: It's All About Me
All About Me I'm awesome. It's true. Everyone who meets me will agree, and by the end of this
essay, you will too. I am from the small town of Mexico, Missouri where I haved lived my whole
life. I was born on January 4, 2000. I am the millennium baby because I was the first baby born in
2000 in the the town of Mexico and I got to ride home in a limo. I went to elementary school at
Hawthorne and then to the Middle School and now I am a Junior at The Mexico High School. I play
basketball, football, and baseball. This summer I worked at the City Pool as a lifeguard. Last
summer I worked at Pearl Motor Company for my dad. That job was definitely a lot harder than
being a lifeguard, but I enjoyed both jobs. One of my favorite hobbies is hunting. I love to Turkey
hunt and also deer hunt. I've killed three turkeys and one deer. One of my other hobbies is snow
skiing. I usually get to go to Colorado every year with my church and I've been three times with my
family. This is just a little bit of who I am. What I need to be successful. My biggest issue and
worst habit is procrastination so this year I am going to try really hard to get all my work finished
and not put it off until 10:00 on Sunday night. To be successful this year I need...show more content...
I have lived in Mexico my whole life. I plan to probably stay in the town and work at Pearl Motor
Company just like my dad and many generations before me. It has been a family business since it
opened in 1916 and my dad is the fourth generation and I intend to be the fifth. I hope to be very
involved in the community and especially with the high school sports programs. I love this town
and everything it has to offer and I hope that one day I can raise a family in this town. I plan to go
to college after high school and probabley major in busniess and marketing. I have grown up the
biggest Missouri Tiger fan so hopefully I will attened that school. This is a little bit about where I

All I wanted when I was little was to have beautiful long hair. All of my dolls had hair down to
their waist , and I longed to have hair like them. Unfortunately for me, my hair did not grow very
fast... at all. I was practically bald until I was three; and my hair was only about to my chin when
I was ready to start kindergarten. So there I was, on my first day at Foreign Language Academy. I
was in SeГ±ora Vargas's Kindergarten class holding on to my mom, dreading the moment she
would have to leave. I had been really excited about starting school and getting to wear my navy
blue dress and my hellokitty backpack. Actually being in the classroom, however, incredibly nerve
racking. Most of the parents were mingling and asking questions to the teacher, while the kids tried
to find their place. Some kids had already began to play games with one another. Others, like me,
were more shy, still clinging to their parent. In all the commotion, I noticed a girl who had the longest
hair in the entire class of kindergartners. She looked a lot like me except she had freckles, a pink
cast on her arm, and the hair I had ever seen. Her hair was the same color as mine, but about triple
the length, and with more curl in it. Jealousy immediately swept over me. It seemed like this girl
had everything I had ever wished for in my entire life. I also thought casts were really cool at that
time because I did not really understand that broken bones hurt, or that you couldn't really move

Several thoughts roamed through my head as my partner asked me questions, such as did she
really want to get to know me and did we grow up in a similar environment? I found myself
curious based on what I value in my life and what I see as valuable in others. In this paper I will
look at the different aspects of our lives. Mission statement of critical thinking is to evaluate why I
feel the way I do about my questions as well as my partner's.
My partner got the opportunity to know me because most of her questions were similar to mine.
From my observations my partner actually tried to get to know the real me by asking questions like,
what do I most value and why? I value my family most, because they are my support system.
Without them I would not strive as hard as I do for my life to be a no worry free zone. I want to
accomplish my goals so that I will not have to worry about complications in the future. A question
I would ask is, how do you feel about life? An individual response shows how much he/she values
their life as well as others. If a person does not care about their own life what would make you think
they would care about yours? I would also ask, are you family oriented? This shows how an
individual was raised and how they will treat you. I...show more content...
I did not mind answering her question I just could not find the right words to say. Since my
grandmother died it seemed as if going to church died too. I began to shallow away from going

continue to label myself as a Christian because the religion I was raised to practice was
Christianity. La'Christiyuana asked what did I do in my free time and why? I responded "In my
free time I like to chill and relax enjoying time to myself blocking out the dangerous world." With
the response I gave her she knew I was a homebound

Before I was born, my parents used to call me goblin. This was because I ended up being born
around an hour after Halloween night, and at the time i was expected to be born right on
Halloween. Since then it has been 14 years and I am now a freshman at Turpin high school. I
have an awesome family that consists of four people. It's me, my younger brother Michael, and
my parents. Michael is an eighth grader at Nagel, and just recently turned 13. My parents work
together in their own company where they recruit people for jobs. Also, the two families (the

One of my strengths when it comes to English is being able to comprehend what I am reading. On
the other hand, I struggle with concluding my thoughts when it comes to writing things. I hope I
can work on making a good conclusion so that I can succeed better in writing essays and other
writing pieces. When I am learning, it is easier for me to process things when I am reading
something directly or when the teacher is talking. I also like songs because they make things
easier to remember. One thing that is not good for me though is a video. More specifically, a
video where the speaking is speaking in a monotone voice. While I am watching the video my
brain will completely zone out and go to something else. This school year I hope to maintain at
least a 3.5 GPA, and never turn in any later work. TO do this, I am going to write everything down
in my planner so that I will not forget any homework assignments. I will also try very hard not to
procrastinate, especially when it comes to studying for a test, or finishing a projects. My hope is
that by the end of my high school career, I will know what I want to do in life, and what college I
will go to. I also hope to learn more about how to pay bills and do other adult

5. Essay About Myself as a Writer
I don't consider myself a very good writer. I write when I am made to or when I have something
that I need to say that I can't just tell someone. I keep a diary. Usually my diary is just a record of
what I have done that day. It's not so much about my feelings. I don't really like talking about my
feelings, usually because most of the time I am confused about what exactly I am feeling. I tend to
keep the feelings that I do have to myself, to protect myself from getting hurt.

When I started my high school, I found my current best friend, Marie. We are still friends to this day;
she just left for college at George Mason. So once again I'm not with my best friend.
I'm not trying to make my life all depressing because it hasn't been all bad. And I realize that
people have had things a lot worse happen to them, in their lives, and I should be thankful for
what I have. But no matter what I have I just never seem truly happy. I always have this front up,
and it seems like everything is going great, but deep inside, I'm falling apart. This comes out in
my writing, and I think that writing is a good release from all of this. I always try to do my best
when it comes to my class work and my writing, but I know that my writing isn't the best by any
means. I always find it important to the best job that I can do, on school work and also in life.
I think that a lot of what got me through writing papers in middle and high school was my mom.
She was so great about reading over and correcting my papers. She stayed up many nights doing
that for me. Not because she had to, but because she wanted to help me. There were so many other
things she could have been doing, but instead she was helping me, and that means a lot to me. I'm
kind of nervous about doing this all on my own. I'm excited thought o see what I can do on my
own. I am so excited about starting new here, with a clean slate. I think that

6. Interview About Me Essay
Interview about Me Rubi Garza Texas A&M International University The purpose for this interview
assessment is to measure an individual's personality by having two interviewees who know them
very well answer questions about them. The Informant Report Data approach and the qualitative
method are used for this test. The reliability, validity, and generalization of the test are examined
separately in order to see how effective they are. The results provide characteristics of the
individual and a reflection of their personal thoughts about the test. The findings concluded low
degree of reliability and validity. The generalizability of the assessment was found to be moderately
applicable to others. In my reflection, I concluded a pattern from the Self interview assessment and
found motivation from my interviewees' answers. The type of data used for this test was the I–Data,
commonly known as the Informant Report Data. This type of data is given through assessments
such as, questionnaires (Fudner, 2012). The Informant Report Data gets information about an
individual through the judgments of their co–workers, family members, acquaintances, etc (Fudner,
2012). It is used daily and it's based on other people's observations. It allows to see different
perspectives about a person through different relationships. The qualitative method was...show more

do you think I have been most satisfied in my life?" were not completely accurate, but similar to

emotional motivation. Specifically, the answers from the question, "Where do you see me in five
years?" really gave me a sense of pride and found that once again, they have motivated me to keep

7. Essay on Me Myself and Personality Traits
Me Myself and Personality Traits When asked to describe myself I never know what to say, but I
should know myself the best, right? I like to look at myself as a genuine, thoughtful young lady.
I'm a hard worker; I believe nothing is ever handed to you so you have to go get it. I worked hard to
get to this point of my life and working even harder to get to the successful and graduate part of
my life. I care more for some others than I do myself but I have a huge nonchalant attitude. I don't
really show anger or sadness much I always smile because I'm optimistic about life. I look at life as
if something bad comes along, no need to dwell on it you can't take it back so just move–on and
improve what you did wrong if it's possible....show more content...
I was taught to be caring and thoughtful; I wasn't taught anything else from anyone other than not to
trust people. I'm the odd ball of my family because I am nothing like anyone. I can say I was also
taught to believe in myself and never down myself because I can accomplish anything. That is
shown through my determination and hard work because if I didn't believe in myself I wouldn't try
as hard. Last but not all, Humanistic approach sums up my personality a little more than
psychodynamic does because it involves nature vs. nurture and that kind of sums it up just saying
that. Environment and Heredity is kind of the main reasons of my attitudes and actions. In the
article, Time–Limited Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Briggs conducts different forms of
psychotherapy techniques to prove whether things in an adolescent's life effect different adolescents
differently. His study was a success and proved that many adolescents have different interpretations
on the same issue. He read them off different problems and wanted to see how they would interpret
them. He used children in the age groups of 12–17 and it worked out. I think that the different
approaches can be brought together in some circumstances but in my case it doesn't. My personality
makes more sense coming from the humanistic approach. Briggs, Stephen (2010). Time–Limited

My Life
I was born in San Jose, Costa Rica, and moved to California when I was very young. Before I moved
to California my dad traveled back and forth for 2 or 3 yrs from California and back to Costa Rica.
He spent most of his time working in the Fresno area, in the cities of Tulare, and Visalia. He says
he spent his time working in any available job including some farm labor jobs and went back to Costa
Rica to spend time with us. After the second time he left Costa Rica to come and work he did not
go back. At that time, amnesty was given to immigrants in California, and he moved up north to the
Bay area to find a steady job. That is when he saved enough money for my mother, my two siblings,

I was in ESL programs until I entered junior high school. Learning the language, and trying to keep
up with the class work was a challenge for me. Having friends who spoke my language, and the
English language as well was an advantage I had. Having that extra help and support really made my
school experience challenging, but exciting as well.
Remembering the support I received from those friends creates a need in me to do the same for other
people. I don't only believe that the support that I can give to migrant students as a Mini–Corps
student will help them in succeeding in school, but I believe that an appreciation for school can
be gained as well, and hopefully bring insight for continuing their studies beyond high school. As
I improved in my English I also grew an interest in writing. I enjoyed my English classes, along
with my math classes too. My interest grew and grew, and I joined summer girl programs. After
participating two year, I became a mentor to those new peers coming into the program. I worked
with teachers in Science, and in Math classes. I also participated in the volleyball activities, and
group activities. This is when I realized I wanted to work with youth my whole life. My interest in
English, and my interest in being a role model to youth made me decide to become an English
teacher, especially working with students whose first language is not English.

I believe I fall into the successful category because I have several of the traits associated with
those who achieve success. I love to constantly be learning new things. I am always "Googling"
new things and love trying to figure new things out on my own. I also take responsibilities for my
failures. I do not like to point fingers and place the blame on someone else. In my opinion it just
is not right to do such a thing. It makes a person look bad as a coworker and even worse, it makes
the coworker look bad for something he/she did not even do. I also love to see others around me
succeed. I am always willing to lend a hand or pull someone back to his/her feet. It makes me feel
good knowing that I potentially helped someone out along their journey and maybe even helped
them earn something they have been working very hard for. At the same time, I am always
willing to give people my "two cents" if I know It could further their understanding of a problem
they are dealing with. Lastly, I am always up for new ideas and opinions. It is always good to get
the opinion of all before moving forward on a task. If you can throw multiple opinions into a pile
and take the best ideas from everyone, I feel I will most likely arrive at the best

A person's identity is shaped by many different aspects. Family, culture, friends, personal interests
and surrounding environments are all factors that tend to help shape a person's identity. Some
factors may have more of an influence than others and some may not have any influence at all. As a
person grows up in a family, they are influenced by many aspects of their life. Family and culture
may influence a person's sense of responsibilities, ethics and morals, tastes in music, humor and

Society has had a limited impact on my lifestyle, mostly because I despise trends. The largest trends
I despise are rap and hip–hop and the clothing, attitudes, and type of speech that that type of 'music'
is breeding. I chose to steer away from that crowd, but it may also be because I live my life off of
adrenaline. My high on life is the energy I have when I get my blood pumping, my heart
pounding, and my adrenaline raging. Most aspects of my individuality reflect that very well. I
love hard, aggressive music, and also guns, but my passion in life is extreme sports, whether it be
on a dirt bike, a bmx bike, a snowmobile, or a snowboard. I have a strong set of morals and ethics
that I have partly adopted from my parents, but some are also partly my own. My morals mostly
consist of karma (being kind, caring, helpful, truthful, and considerate to others), not littering
(especially in nature), respecting nature, keeping a clean and welcoming home, success that is
measured with happiness and not possessions, and having strong family ties. I feel that I am very
strongly rounded individual who is going to go far in life. Many people would agree with that,
although some people just think that I am an absolutely crazy person who has a death wish and will
not go anywhere but to the hospital or the morgue. Educational experiences also tend to influence a
person's identity. I have not had too many educational

I 'm not perfect, but I 'm becoming the best possible version of myself. At first I was very
ashamed of myself, for multiple reasons, but mainly because I haven't graduated college, that I
had fallen behind my peers. However, I have nothing to be embarrassed about. Everyone's path is
different. I was a "know it all," I thought I had everything figured out, but I was wrong. Failure
was something I had never experienced until I was completely on my own. Honestly, when I got to

The Things that Make Me Who I am Everyone goes through life and has a number of things that
they feel are important to them and their lives. Within all of those things there are one or two
things that are at the top of that list; the things that are thought to be the most important to their

things that make my life how it is today. These two things for me are my family and the choices I
have made that I believe will bring success to my future. One thing that I have learned throughout
my life that I feel is one of the most important points to remember is that without your family you
have nothing. That is the reason why I feel that my family is so important and one of the factors
of who I have become. All of the achievements that I have accomplished throughout my life would
not have been possible without my parents. They have given me endless opportunities to reach
my goals, try new things, and experience so much that the world has to offer. My two older

circumstances. I have always had access to anything I needed and for that I have extreme
gratitude because I know some people have a lot of difficulty in life. Since I was born into a
family with such good economic circumstances I have been lucky to have lots of opportunities.
One Opportunity I had as a child was participating in taekwondo. I did taekwondo until I reached a
blackbelt which took years of hardwork and dedication. I had to memorize forms, Spar with other
competitors and break boards in order to continue to move up to the next level. Taekwondo also
helped keep me in good shape and fit when I was younger. Another Opportunity I am grateful for is
the skill of playing the piano. At first I was not all that enthusiastic about playing it but my parents
has signed me up and insisted I

18. Reflective Essay About Myself
Walking into my fifth grade classroom for the millionth time, I searched around the room to see
if there was anyone like me. A girl with chocolate skin. For as long as I can remember, I was the
only one in my grade, ever since I started school. But this did not mean I did not have friends.
Caterina and I were best friends that year. She was from Venezuela, had white olive skin with
long blonde hair, and light eyes. One school day, when we were walking to P.E., she said to me "I
like your hair because it stays in place." A little taken back, I was not sure if this a compliment or
not, but I said thank you anyway. Her comment had stayed with me for the rest of the day. I began
to wonder why my hair grew the way it did and if I could change it. This was, thus the beginning
of my insecurities. Going to school every few months with a different hairstyle would raise a few
questions for my classmates. Different styles, such as, box braids and marley twists, would
change my attitude because I no longer looked the way I felt most of the time, ugly. But because
I knew my look was only temporary, I did my best not to draw attention to myself. As I advanced
grades, I always hoped there would be someone like me. Not necessarily student. After fifth grade, I
figured I might as well conquer eighth grade alone. It would at least be nice to have a teacher to
talk to about when I get angry about each day instead of keeping everything bottled up. A person "...
to vent [my] frustrations,

19. Ten Characteristics That Describe Me And Who I Am
All about Me Ten characteristics that describe me and who I am are:
1. I am normally shy around people who I don't really know or someone I have never met before.
But once I am around them for a while I eventually open up, normally I am a shy person. I don't
like getting up in front of classes to give speeches.
2. Compassionate would be another characteristic because I always want to help people. I love
working at a nursing home and helping the residents and making sure they get the help that they need.
3. Having responsibility or being responsible is another characteristic because I am always
completing things ahead of time. I always keep my check book in order and I know if it seems
like I will spend too much money I will look at and see if I really need to spend the money or can
I save it for something else, or even wait till the next pay check. My assignments for school are
normally completed before they are due, but there is sometimes when that doesn't happen but, life
gets in the way sometimes.
4. Intelligent because going through high school I always had good grades. I was on the honor
rolls and in National Honor Society. I had a 3.67 cumulative GPA. So I would say I was intelligent,
but give me a car to take apart I would not be very intelligent.
5. I would say that I am an honest person. I dislike lying very much. Telling the truth is something
that I feel is the right thing to do.
6. I am respectful because working at a nursing home

20. CBU Essay Examples
Academics, Attitude, and Effort are what I learned to help me achieve my targets in high school,
and will be the same for college. What I want to experience at CBU is their immense amount of
resources that will benefit me in a major or career that I want to be in, however, right now I am
undecided. With my attitude at CBU will help me experience great effects on what I could do to
exceed in life. With my effort I know my experience will be a tremendous including social life, so
knowing I will get to know my professors with the ratio being 17:1 in almost every class at CBU.
With attending at CBU I know with the academics they offer, it will be valuable, beneficial, and
superb. From what I heard the nursing program is ascending, however, is...show more content...
With getting to know my professors I will be able to build a trust with them. Also, I personally
like to build a relationship with my teachers, understanding that some students don't like to know
their teachers and just want to pass the class the class. With me getting to know my teachers I can
get more comfortable to ask a question about a problem that I don't know how to solve or a
section that is being taught. Additionally, with the small classroom, I will be able to get to know
them as well and build a relationship, in order to help each other on an assignment, homework, or
on a certain part of a problem or a chapter. I know that my social experience will be great.
Including my spiritual experience at CBU, I will be able to understand my religion more. Including,
that all the staff members being 100% Christian, I could ask a question that I may have and the
could help me find an answer. Having to attend the school's chapel I know that I can get closer to
God and understand his word, and be able to follow in his footsteps that will help me grow as an
adult. With this spiritual growth from attending CBU, will be vast and helpful with me growing into
a mature and responsible

21. Essay About Myself
There are three very important aspects that play a major rule in my life. They can be categorized as
intellectual, social, and spiritual. My intellectual self is interesting because I am mainly
right–brained which means that I tend to use my creativity more than my mathematical skills, also
making me a visual learner. My social self consists of friends, family, and my surroundings. I spend
most of my time at home with my family. Whenever I am with my friends, I observe their behaviors
and listen to their opinions. I am more of an independent type of person. Being with different people
has influenced me into appreciating different cultures and beliefs. I have learned things that have
now been incorporated into my own set of beliefs and...show more content...
I find that I can only recall long–term memories if they are important to me, or if they are dramatic
experiences. A few examples of my childhood memories are my mother reading to me, my
grandfather playing his guitar, and my dad relentlessly teaching me how to ice skate, no matter
how many times I fell. The people who affect my social life the most are my family and friends. I
have an extremely close family that has played a major role in my life. They are whom I spend
most of my spare time with. My family usually gathers every weekend for dinner. I am also very
open to different religions, cultures, and practices because I know many people with different
backgrounds and beliefs. Since I've been influenced by various people, I've learned at a very
young age to never judge people by how they look, dress, feel, or act. I am very fortunate to have
learned these lessons, because many people still do not understand the importance of accepting
differences. In a group, I prefer to listen to what others have to say, and then contribute to the
discussion. I try to listen so I am able to compare them to my own thoughts. I enjoy working in a
group, because it gives everyone an opportunity to incorporate their own ideas. My social self is
most greatly influenced by my family and friends. I believe that my spiritual self is the most
important out of the three. Although I have a certain religion that I belong to and practice, I believe
in a bit of

22. What I Learned About Myself Essay
This class has taught me a lot about myself in such a brief period of time. I never thought I could
dig as deep as I did, and have a better understanding of who I am as a person just by writing a single
essay. I was not expecting the amount of self–awareness that I gained through this class. I really
enjoyed the hermit crab essays, because they really guided me to find my true feelings. It was hard
for me to get started writing at first and then once I got started, it was almost impossible to stop. I
love the feeling that I am in control of what I am writing and there are no restrictions and that I
can be vulnerable in my writing. This class really helped me show the vulnerable side of who I
am. I was sometimes moved to tears while I was writing because, I realized things about myself
that I never thought to be true before. I would get so excited that I would read it to my boyfriend,
family and friends. This class was in no way easy, but it was definitely worth it for many reasons.
I learned how to become a better writer, I learned about myself as a person, and I constructed
pieces of writing that I didn't know I was capable of. Some assignments became easier as time
went on because I became a stronger writer. However, I think the hardest one for me was having to
write about the room I was in. It didn't interest me because it didn't help me dig deeper into my
feelings or anything of that matter. I also didn't enjoy having to respond to different pieces of
writing, because it

23. The Most Important Thing You Know About Me
The most important thing you need to know about me is that I am very family–oriented. My family
means everything to me. I am a stay–at–home mother of three children, two boys and a girl who are
seven, three, and two respectively. My husband, a firefighter in Mobile, and I have been married
for over four years. Going back to school was a huge decision to make; but, I wanted to better myself
for my family. I have always wanted to work in the medical field, so choosing a degree in nursing
was easy. I graduated from Baker High School in 2006, then I attended the University of South
Alabama for two semesters, and then I decided to take a break to focus on my family. After my
first son was born, I stayed home with him for a year, then I went to work as a preschool teacher.
I love working with children, so my goal is to work in the labor and delivery department as a
Registered Nurse or work in the nursery with the newborn babies. After I finish my Associate's
Degree in Nursing, I plan on going back to school to get my Bachelor's Degree and then, eventually,
my Master's Degree in Nursing.
I love reading fiction more than any other kind of book. I have read all of the Twilight and Hunger
Games books and I am currently reading the Divergent series. I have also read other books, like The
Notebook and The Giver among many other fiction books. One of my most favorite books is To Kill
a Mockingbird. I have also enjoyed some non–fiction like The Diary of Anne Frank. I like reading

24. It's All About Me
"It's All About Me" It's All About Me is an enlightening documentary exploring the diversity of the
different generations, spanning over four decades. The show is a probing and controversial view at
the difference in the generations through various changes throughout recent history in trends, culture,
and traits. Antoine Gaber along with a cast of various generations metaphorically journey through
time to explore how Gen X's nurturing and education morphed into an inflated, entitled persona of
today's youth. Through multiple interviews from every generation a viewer is able to decipher the
mass diversity between how Gen X's mentality was in relation to how it became in Gen Y and then
how it is currently in Gen Z. The show touches on multiple...show more content...
I came from a poor childhood and wanted better for my own children, but I wanted to instill my
parents solid work ethnics and respect for others into my children. My children have chores to
teach responsibility and work ethic and are taught to respect their elders, as well as good manners. I
have noticed that a lot of children have lost these basic social etiquette. For example, I had a
principle call and tell me that any other child would of received punishment for something my sons
had done, but due to the fact that they remained polite, well–mannered and respectful he was just
giving them a warning that time. His comment was "It is a relief to see that some children are
still being raised with basic manners". I found that quite sad and it explained why I was hearing
children be respectful so infrequently. I have noticed over the past several years as my children
have aged into teenagers that the younger ones seem to exude a sense of entitlement and that the
world or I owe them for being alive and in my presence. Granted so far they only express themselves
like this while at home. It never fails to appall me, due to the fact that I would have been smacked
down if I disrespected an adult in any form or
