life. I was born on January 4, 2000. I am the millennium baby because I was the first baby born in
2000 in the the town of Mexico and I got to ride home in a limo. I went to elementary school at

basketball, football, and baseball. This summer I worked at the City Pool as a lifeguard. Last

Narrative Essay Kindergarten
All I wanted when I was little was to have beautiful long hair. All of my dolls had hair down to
their waist , and I longed to have hair like them. Unfortunately for me, my hair did not grow very
fast... at all. I was practically bald until I was three; and my hair was only about to my chin when
I was ready to start kindergarten. So there I was, on my first day at Foreign Language Academy. I
was in SeГ±ora Vargas's Kindergarten class holding on to my mom, dreading the moment she
would have to leave. I had been really excited about starting school and getting to wear my navy
blue dress and my hellokitty backpack. Actually being in the classroom, however, incredibly nerve

Several thoughts roamed through my head as my partner asked me questions, such as did she
really want to get to know me and did we grow up in a similar environment? I found myself
curious based on what I value in my life and what I see as valuable in others. In this paper I will

One of my strengths when it comes to English is being able to comprehend what I am reading. On
the other hand, I struggle with concluding my thoughts when it comes to writing things. I hope I
can work on making a good conclusion so that I can succeed better in writing essays and other

to California my dad traveled back and forth for 2 or 3 yrs from California and back to Costa Rica.

I was in ESL programs until I entered junior high school. Learning the language, and trying to keep
up with the class work was a challenge for me. Having friends who spoke my language, and the
English language as well was an advantage I had. Having that extra help and support really made my
school experience challenging, but exciting as well.
Remembering the support I received from those friends creates a need in me to do the same for other
people. I don't only believe that the support that I can give to migrant students as a Mini–Corps
student will help them in succeeding in school, but I believe that an appreciation for school can
be gained as well, and hopefully bring insight for continuing their studies beyond high school. As

I 'm not perfect, but I 'm becoming the best possible version of myself. At first I was very

1. I am normally shy around people who I don't really know or someone I have never met before.
But once I am around them for a while I eventually open up, normally I am a shy person. I don't
like getting up in front of classes to give speeches.
2. Compassionate would be another characteristic because I always want to help people. I love
working at a nursing home and helping the residents and making sure they get the help that they need.
3. Having responsibility or being responsible is another characteristic because I am always
completing things ahead of time. I always keep my check book in order and I know if it seems
like I will spend too much money I will look at and see if I really need to spend the money or can

With getting to know my professors I will be able to build a trust with them. Also, I personally
like to build a relationship with my teachers, understanding that some students don't like to know

What I Learned About Myself Essay
This class has taught me a lot about myself in such a brief period of time. I never thought I could
dig as deep as I did, and have a better understanding of who I am as a person just by writing a single
essay. I was not expecting the amount of self–awareness that I gained through this class. I really
enjoyed the hermit crab essays, because they really guided me to find my true feelings. It was hard
for me to get started writing at first and then once I got started, it was almost impossible to stop. I
love the feeling that I am in control of what I am writing and there are no restrictions and that I
can be vulnerable in my writing. This class really helped me show the vulnerable side of who I
am. I was sometimes moved to tears while I was writing because, I realized things about myself
that I never thought to be true before. I would get so excited that I would read it to my boyfriend,
family and friends. This class was in no way easy, but it was definitely worth it for many reasons.

The Most Important Thing You Know About Me
The most important thing you need to know about me is that I am very family–oriented. My family
means everything to me. I am a stay–at–home mother of three children, two boys and a girl who are
seven, three, and two respectively. My husband, a firefighter in Mobile, and I have been married
for over four years. Going back to school was a huge decision to make; but, I wanted to better myself
for my family. I have always wanted to work in the medical field, so choosing a degree in nursing
was easy. I graduated from Baker High School in 2006, then I attended the University of South
Alabama for two semesters, and then I decided to take a break to focus on my family. After my
first son was born, I stayed home with him for a year, then I went to work as a preschool teacher.
I love working with children, so my goal is to work in the labor and delivery department as a
Registered Nurse or work in the nursery with the newborn babies. After I finish my Associate's
Degree in Nursing, I plan on going back to school to get my Bachelor's Degree and then, eventually,

I love reading fiction more than any other kind of book. I have read all of the Twilight and Hunger

I came from a poor childhood and wanted better for my own children, but I wanted to instill my
parents solid work ethnics and respect for others into my children. My children have chores to
teach responsibility and work ethic and are taught to respect their elders, as well as good manners. I
have noticed that a lot of children have lost these basic social etiquette. For example, I had a
principle call and tell me that any other child would of received punishment for something my sons
had done, but due to the fact that they remained polite, well–mannered and respectful he was just
giving them a warning that time. His comment was "It is a relief to see that some children are
still being raised with basic manners". I found that quite sad and it explained why I was hearing
children be respectful so infrequently. I have noticed over the past several years as my children
have aged into teenagers that the younger ones seem to exude a sense of entitlement and that the
world or I owe them for being alive and in my presence. Granted so far they only express themselves
like this while at home. It never fails to appall me, due to the fact that I would have been smacked
