- It is a beautiful
park with lots of
colourful buildings
and sculptures.
4. La rambla- It is a street that never
sleeps: it’s always full
of people; and it is the
border that separates two
neighbourhoods, with the
Raval on one side and the
Gothic Quarter on the
other.
- The Boqueria market is the
most visited in the city
and the largest in
Catalonia, with over 300
stalls. It has a very wide
variety of food.
5. camp nou
- Children who play or
watch football will
love seeing the famous
FC Barcelona stadium
called Camp Nou (which
means new ground) and
the Museu del Barça
museum.
- This is one of the
most popular Barcelona
attractions for
families with
children.
6. FOOD IN CATALONIA
In Catalonia we have lots of
different traditional foods:
Pa amb tomàquet: bread with
tomato and olive oil.
- At Christmas, we eat
“turrons”, these are
traditionally made with
almonds, chocolate and
dried fruits.
10. SANT JORDI
It is similar to Saint
Valentine. The girls
give book to the boys
and the boys a rose to
the girls.
All the streets are
full of roses and
books to buy.
11. caga tió
At Christmas we
celebrate the Caga
Tió. It is a tree
tunk with a face.
On the 24th of
December the children
hit the trunk with a
stick, sing a song
and it gives as small
presents.

12. La sardana
It is a traditions
dance in Catalonia.
Boys and girls dance
in a circle and hold
their hands.
The music is played
by a small orchestra
with wind instruments
and drums.
