Projects
Distracted Driver Detection Sep 2019 – Dec 2019
Used MobileNet V2 to classify between 10 classes of distracted driver which include talking on the phone, texting, talking to
passenger, hair and makeup, etc., it was pretrained on ImageNet, used transfer learning to classify the required classes. Also
trained a VGG 16 model for the same to analyse and compare the results of the two models.
The Original Problem Nov 2019
Used fastai to train neural net to classify between brick, ball and a cylinder, get there bounding boxes and a segmentation
mask for all. The neural net used a pretrained resnet14 model, used transfer learning to customize the neural net for
classification.
Neural Network Nov 2019
Trained a Neural Network for regression, used 5-fold cross validation to find out the best neural network parameters and
present them. The neural network will predict the appliances usage depending on the features in the dataset. Also
implemented the Neural Network for Non-Linear Logistic Regression on a classification dataset, again using the 5-fold cross
validation and finding the best parameter and present the cross-validation accuracies.
Object Recognition Using Tensorflow Aug 2017 – Jun 2018
Used Single Shot Multibox Detector Model on Tensorflow Framework to detect license plate on various vehicles, used
labelImg tool for annotation in the image of the license plate which was used for training the model. The model could be furt her
trained to detect plates in different vehicles where license plate size and positions may vary by simply training it with the
suitable vehicles dataset.
Automatic Number Plate Recognition System Aug 2017 – Jun 2018
Used the Object Recognition model above to recognize plates and then applied Optical Character Recognition on the plate to
extract characters and recognize them. Further the model could be trained to extract the characters of different region license
plates by simply training it with the relevant dataset.
