2. Remuneration Related
• There is no national minimum wage right now and
states are free to decide on a floor (Advisory only).
• The minimum wage for an unskilled worker may be set
atRs.7,100 a month in an underdeveloped
state, Rs.8,500 in a developing state and Rs.10,000 in a
developed state (Labor Ministry’s Note)
• Semi-skilled workers in an A category state may
getRs.15,000, those in B category states, Rs.12,750,
and those in C category, Rs.10.650. Skilled workers may
get Rs.20,000 per month in a developed
state, Rs.17,000 in a developing state and Rs.14,200 in
a poor state.

3. • Bonus Act to allow all employees of a
company drawing a salary of up to Rs.21,000
per month to be eligible for a bonus whenever
one is announced. (existing eligibility ceiling
of Rs.10,000).
• Tripling the ceiling on bonus payout
from Rs.3,500 to Rs.10,000.
