Kennedy co-founded SBI placement business in 2016,
he currently holds dual titles as Responsible Officer
and Manager-In-Charge of SBI China Capital and
CEO of SBI E2 Family Advisors. He has overall
responsibility of SBI China Capital’s fund placement
services working with the team to secure allocation
from both institutional and family office clients.
He is a seasoned investment professional with
extensive experience in private equity investment,
investment banking and operations. Kennedy has
held various positions at SBI China Capital, including
Head of Equity Research and being responsible for
distribution of the Group’s direct transactions and
third party funds. In 2010, he was selected as one of
Asia’s Top Stock Pickers by world-renowned
publication Financial Times and Starmine.
Kennedy was previously Director at HM Clipper
Capital, participating in the management of a
US$800m AUM cross-border buyout fund. He also
spent time at Haitong International Securities Group
(665 HK), one of Greater China’s largest retail
securities groups.
Christian co-founded SBI placement business in 2016,
he is a specialist in the area of alternatives strategies
investments. He was previously Head of Asia
Distribution & Strategy for Standard Life Investments’
alternative platform, a Pan European Alternative
Manager with circa US$12 billion AUM across private
equity, infrastructure, credit, co-investment strategies.
He managed and developed institutional investors
across APAC and Australasia.
Prior to that, Christian worked in London with Duet Asset
Management, a global alternative asset manager with
US$5.5 billion AUM, as Vice President & product
specialist for the firm's private equity, real estate,
infrastructure strategies. He covered Europe, Eastern US,
and Asia markets.
Christian is also an experienced entrepreneur, having in
the past worked with numerous start ups in tech and
established numerous hard asset businesses in the
United States.
He holds MA & Urban Design from University of
Pennsylvania, MBA from Cass Business School in London,
and BS from University of Massachusetts of Amherst, MA.
