2. Intention
For the TV show, the costumes are important as the viewing audience can visually distinguish the cast from
one another; Costume design can imply and create character for the person wearing the clothing. This
conveyed with colour choice, presentation, clothing type and clothing condition. For example, worn and
tattered clothing out of context can imply a character who is unkept intentionally or unintentionally with
financial issues or a troubled background. It could also imply a character who is in a situation that has caused
the clothing to be torn such as endangerment. Colour choice is a subconscious reflection on character traits
or mood: blue clothing had connotations to negative emotions whereas red relates to warmth, comfort and
affection.

3. Presenter Costume
Mirroring the presentable and respectable manner of the main presenter,
selected is a formal attire that sets a contrast between the presenter and the
rest of the cast. This is to present the show to the audience with a high-
standard. The main presenter will wear a suit/ smart clothing

4. Contestant
Costumes
The costume choice of the
contestants will reflect their
situation and location to add
realism. Each contestant will
have a unique appearance to
match their character; for
example, one contestant may go
into the wilderness in their best
clothes as an act of showing off.
During these scenes filmed in
the natural environments, the
costumes will have a weathered
and unclean condition.

5. 'Creature' Costume
The creature will be an actor playing it and
filmed briefly in scenes roaming the forest.
It will be a morph suit to mask the actor.
When filmed, the character will be
obstructed In view when filmed to add a
sense of mystery.

6. Props
Props make the reality TV show
more believable and they have
practical use in the narrative of the
show.
Props include -
 Microphone for presenter
 Clipboard for Presenter
 Backpacks for Contestants
 Refreshments/ water bottles
