The future global portfolio of healthy milk products
– the Arla Foods task
In 2015 the EU milk quotas will be eliminated, which means that farmers will
increase milk production substantially. Arla must be ready to handle the increased
volume of raw materials in the future, and in an increasingly globalised marked
ensure that the product portfolio matches the consumer and market needs. This
development increases the need for new strategic input in order to constantly
balance supply chain, production capacity, market opportunities, research and
development, CSR, risk assessment and marketing on a global scale, just to name
a few points to consider. Help us find the right answers and join Team Arla now!
We are looking to recruit 5 outstanding, ambitious students with a true passion
and drive for innovation to join Team Arla at the 3-day FoodTech Challenge 2014.
The 5 profiles we are looking for to join the winning team are:
A. Business Developer
You have strong analytical skills, personal drive and a strategic mindset to
problem solving
B. Marketing & Sales
You have global market and food trends insight and a strong consumer
understanding
C. Chef/Food Technician
You have global understanding, a passion for product development and a
strong knowledge of food safety
D. Nutritionist
You have knowledge within global health and nutrition and food chemistry
E. Researcher/Journalist
You have outstanding communicational skills and are a fast runner when it
comes to information search and dissemination into knowledge
This is a unique opportunity for you to improve your network, skills and future
job opportunities by collaborating with a market leading food company at the
biggest food technology fair in Northern Europe. Students participating in the
Challenge will be given accommodation, food, local transport in Herning and
team apparel free of charge!

FoodTech Challenge – sponsored by Damstahl” is an open international inno-vation
competition during FoodTech 2014 and is held in MCH Messecenter Her-ning
from 28-30 October. We are now recruiting 25 specially selected students
for the Challenge to participate and compete in 5 different teams with specific,
real life cases through a professionally facilitated innovation process at the
FoodTech fair. The purpose of FoodTech Challenge 2014 is to bring business and
knowledge environments together in a new framework and to show examples
of concept and product development applying a new business model developed
by Aarhus University. All exhibitors and resources at the fair will be involved,
and students have the opportunity to seek inspiration and knowledge and draw
on all relevant expertise and network present at the fair.
The students are recruited from Danish universities, university colleges and
technical schools through a special selection process ensuring that the 5 teams
are composed with skills that correspond to the tasks assigned. FoodTech
Challenge is intended to show that students are able to collaborate across
backgrounds and academic disciplines.
The 5 partner companies participating with cases in FoodTech Challenge are
Arla Foods, Barry Callebaut, DuPont Bioscience and Nutrition, GEA Filtration
and Marel. They are all leaders in their field of expertise, and will contribute by
making their resources, knowledge and networks available.
